Jimin's Point Of View

11 pm

'What do you mean she doesn't live here anymore?!', I screamed.

'I'm sorry, she moved out today.', the receptionist said flinching at my rough tone.

'Where has she gone?', I slammed my hand on the desk.

'I-I'm not allowed t-to-'

'JUST FUCKING TELL ME!'

'31st Street, Off Brightside road, house number 40.', she shivered.

Rolling my eyes at Clare, I think was her name, I exited the gates of the campus.

I tried to phone Rose but the reception was bad due to fact that it was raining for the past few hours. So I rode all the way to meet her but turns out she's left.

Who the hell moves home in a day?

Sighing, I spent some time thinking about what to say.

Should I apologise? I barely ever apologise to people.

Maybe I should just go back home, I'll see her in at class anyway.

No, you've hurt her.

But you've hurt loads of girls before.

Well, this one hurt you back.

Parking my bike in front of the curb, I dragged my wet body toward the doorstep. I vigorously rang the doorbell.

She sleeps like a fucking log.

Getting impatient quickly, I was about to turn around when I heard a few thuds from inside the house.

Did she fall?

Feeling colder by the minute, I rang the doorbell continuously until I heard the tiny squeak of the doorknob.
The door was ajar now and a small head poked through.

'Rose.', I had to say loudly for her to hear over the heavy rain.

She simply stared at my form. As if she saw a ghost.

'Go away.', she said.

Is she holding a fork?

'No, I'm coming in.', I said and pushed my way into the house. But she stood her ground, blocking the entry from me.

'Rose,', I said, exasperated, 'I have been riding all around looking for you so if you could just please LET ME IN.'

'YOU SLEPT WITH BREE!', she screamed, making me step back into the rain.

How did she find out?

'AND YOU LEFT ME, LIKE A ONE NIGHT STAND LAST MORNING. SO NO, I AM NOT GOING TO LET YOU IN.', she said, walking out into the rain.

'Rose, I'm sorry, I-'

'We were out that night, couldn't you have at least fucked her the next day?'

*SLAM*

The door shut behind her.
Now we were both on the front steps, drenched.

I know I was inconsiderate to you, Rose.

'I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I HAD FEELINGS FOR YOU!'

'Stop yell- wait, what?'

Did she just admit to liking me?

She was quiet.

'I can explain, Rose... Just let me explain...'

'Go ahead.'

'Can we please go in, it's raining.'

I watched her clothes stick to her body. The moonlight shone on her silky nightdress. The light pink robe she wore, barely covering her frail body.

'Explain.', she demanded.

I sighed,

'It was to get my mind off of you. I tried to forget about you, Rose. But I couldn't.
The thing is, I hurt people that are close to me and I'll end up hurting you. That's why I left in the morning and that's why I was with Bree. I tried to push you away, but I realised... I-I can't.', I said, taking a step closer to her.

Rose looked up at me with sadness in her eyes. They searched mine for the truth.

'I can't stop thinking about you.', I cupped her cheek with my hand.

'You don't have to anymore.', she said quietly and backed away.

'No, wait, Rose!', I pleaded.

But she didn't listen.

The door shut and I was left standing there, alone, cold and heartbroken, on an empty street, at midnight.
