Two days have passed since the Black Hood scare. I spent my days staying at home, only leaving when I had to go to work or school. Sweet Pea has been keeping me company in these lonesome times.

Sweet Pea walked me home after work yesterday even though I insisted he didn't since it was late at night, and today he showed up at my house unexpectedly with takeaways from Pop's.

"I didn't know what to get so I got you a double polar burger combo," said Sweet Pea as he set down the Pop's paper bag on top of my bed.

"Creepy," I commented, "This is exactly what I've been craving for for weeks. A double polar burger with everything and a cherry soda with chocolate ice-cream. I mean, you missed out on the cherry soda but it's fine. You passed."

His lips pulled into a smile, "Thanks. I had to ask Pop's for your favourite order so, it's really props to him."

I began unraveling the paper bag, "How much do I have to pay you?"

"Nothing. It's my treat," he replied.

"Are you sure? You've paid for my meal before already, I don't want to be rude."

"I'm sure. Don't worry."

Sweet Pea was still standing at the foot of my bed. "Well, stop standing there awkwardly. Sit down, he won't bite," I was referring to Vegas who was laying next to me.

Sweet Pea took a seat across from me and Vegas barked at him. Sweet Pea didn't react frightened, instead he offered Vegas his hand, who sniffed it before allowing Sweet Pea to pet him.

Sweet Pea smiled, "What's it's name?"

"Vegas. It's a Labrador Retriever," I replied. "Also, sorry for the mess. I didn't know you were coming." My room looked overgrown. Piles of books poured over my desk and I had clothes scattered across my bed.

"No worries," Sweet Pea reassured, he reached into the paper bag and fished out his burger, "You've seen my trailer, this is nothing."

I unwrapped the burger and sank my teeth in. "Mm. . . I miss Pop's," I moaned. "I can't thank you enough for this. I really miss Pop's," I spoke through my food.

Sweet Pea laughed, "I've never seen anyone so happy for Pop's."

I covered my mouth as I continued to chomp down on the burger, embarrassed that he saw me chew as I spoke. I alternated between eating the fries and burger.
