The ray of the sun woke her, although her mind was already thinking about the night that just passed. She opened her eyes and found that her head was on his chest. As she focused on his body, she will never get used to the scars that are found there – nor will she ever forgive the men who put them there. The feeling of sorrow washed over her as she ran her finger along the biggest scar on his body, the one closest his heart. Water appeared in her eyes & she realised that every fiber of her being is too – in love. "He saw you staring at me longingly as we left Dragonstone for the Wall" remembering his smile as he said these words made her smile. Then it hit her - he was trying to be funny, as if he wanted to tease me for worrying about him? Humor is so different in the north. Come to think of it, I haven't smiled so much in a very long time. Even with Daario, he did make me laugh, yes, but, Jon Snow makes her heart smile. She sat up – wishing that is was not sunrise. However, she knew that she had to prepare for the day. Just as she was about to get out of bed, she felt him grab her hand. "My queen, Daenerys, it's not yet daybreak, we will be in White Barbour tonight around sunset, lie with me a little longer" he whispered, his eyes still closed. Daenerys looked at him and smiled. "How do you know what the time is Jon Snow?" she asked inquisitively. "I've been up already Dany, walking around and checking our location – you my queen are a deep sleeper, I must have kissed you more than three times as you slept." This made her laugh - not knowing if this was another pun of northern humor of is he was serious. Her laugh filled him with joy. He pulled her back onto his chest, as she lay with her head below his chin. "All laughs aside my Queen, I think you should know that my being here, is not a secret" he whispered quietly. "What do you speak of?" she asked. Her question echoed in his head and he wondered how he would best answer. He looked at her and said "he is a clever man your hand, he came to see me as I was standing on the dock. Tyrion knows about my coming here unannounced last night and I don't think he approves" he said honestly. Jon saw the change in her face. Daenerys sat up, turned to look at him and got out of bed. 'All the gods' he thought, 'she is beautiful' he sighed. Daenerys walked across her chamber to run a bath. "My queen" he asked hopefully. "Jon Snow, we have a council meeting this morning, we cannot be late. I am going to ready myself and so should you. I will see you in the dining hall in an hour. We have much to discuss" she said as she walked across the room and kissed him, softly on his mouth. She then instructed him to go back to his chambers. The queen returned to her bath, watching him as he pulled his clothes back on and walked out of her door...

This scene takes place in the dining room of the great Targaryen ship. Daenerys is standing at the window looking out to the open water. Tyrion and Varys sit at the top head of the table, closest to the fire. Jorah the Andal and Daavos Seaworth are sitting on the left hand side of the table. The empty seat opposite them is reserved for the Wardern of the North, Lord Snow - who just so happens to have walked through the doors. Daenerys turned around and saw him standing there, looking at her as if they were the only people in the room. He loved her, its true and she loved him. "I'm glad you have arrived my lord, we have much to discuss". Daenerys moved swiftly to her place at the table. Placing her hands firmly in front of her, then clenching them together. A habit she has had for as long as she can remember. It's usually a sign of nervousness. Which is an emotion she rarely feels. "Firstly, I want to acknowledge all of you in this room. I am grateful for your loyalty and support towards my claim to The Iron Throne. I am glad, lucky and relieved to have you all by my side. Secondly we need to discuss our plan for this threat in the north. Lord Snow tells me that we will arrive in White Harbour before sunset tonight". Jon's stomach fell as she spoke these last few words. He realised that he was staring at her lovingly and quickly looked away. He knew that if anyone was observing them closely, they would know his love for her in an instant. He couldn't get anything past his most trusted advisor, Ser Daavos, who caught his glance and smiled at him across the table. He then heard her voice in the hall again. "Thirdly my lords" the sudden sound of her voice sent shivers up his spine. He looked up at her as she stood and walked to the windows staring at the ocean again. "My Queen, are you well?" Lord Tyrion asked as he took a sip of his wine. "Khaleesi?" Asked Ser Jorah worryingly. "I am quite fine, on the contrary" she turned and walked towards the table. Placing her hand on the top of it. "Thirdly I do not want any secrets within this small council. I'd like to put the war of the dead and our venture to the throne aside for this short time. I would like the next conversation to be open and honest. If any of you have any questions, worries and/or concerns you would like to voice, let us discuss them now".
Daenerys walked to the empty seat next to Jon Snow, she sat next to him, placing her hand on top of his and holding it as if it was second nature to do so.
"Shall we begin?" she asked as she looked around at the table of advisers that surrounded them.

Jon' heart was racing what felt like a million miles an hour. Did she just do that? This was her way of telling everyone that we are what? Friends? Lovers? Companions? I know exactly what I want with 'us' he told himself. She knows this too. Daenerys had him thinking about what her next move is. Daenerys felt him grasp her hand in support of her bold and just move. Tyrion looked back at them with concern. Daavos chuckled like he was a proud father and the look on Ser Jorah's face was that of the same beyond the wall, Jon noticed it, it was the same look he had when he returned LongClaw. Of every one of the advisors in the room it is he who knew their queen the best. "My queen I have to admit, I am not surprised. This union is something I would have advised, I am glad you came together on your own accord. Lord Snow is one of the most honourable men in Westeros, I haven't known him long, but he served with my father, my father groomed him to be the next Lord Commander, my father trusted him with his life and I will trust in him too. I am with you, Khaleesi" he said confidently. Daenerys couldn't express how much these words meant to her, Jorah was there with her from the beginning, he has seen everything, he was there with Drogo, at the birth and loss of my child, at the birth of my dragons. Daenerys smiled at his words, she thought and knew that 'he is my most trusted friend'. "Thank you Ser Jorah, your words are true and kind, if there were anyone in this room that would disagree, I would hope that it would not be you" she whispered through a smile. "What is the intention here?" said a strong, familiar voice. Both Dany and Jon looked over to her hand, who had moved from the table, and stood in front of the fire. "What is the intention here?" He asked repeated. "Are the two of you lovers? Or 'good friends'? If we are speaking honestly my queen I must say, that love and war in Westeros are not two combinations for success. I am with you, in whatever choose my queen. We just need to ensure that this will not cloud your ability, both of your abilities to rule and stand against this army of the dead". Jon glanced at Daenerys, wandering what her answer may be. He could answer these questions easily, however, these questions were directed to their queen. There was no hesitation in her voice, he didn't think he could love her any more than he does in this very moment, until he heard her speak. "I did not bring this subject into matter without thinking it through my lord. Jon Snow is not my mistress, he isn't someone I am going to grow tired of and dismiss, as you well know. I understand that the long night is upon us and that we may not survive this winter - I do not want to be his distraction in this war, nor he mine, but I do know, my lords, that if I suppress my love and feelings, for this man, forget the war! I will not survive tomorrow!" she said as she turned to look at the man sitting beside him. "I intend to spend the rest of my life with you, Jon Snow. If we survive this war, I want you to be by my side as we take The Iron Throne. Together, united under one banner, we will make this world a better place. If you would have me that is" she said through a smile. Jon took her hands into his, every emotion in his body wanted to kiss her. 'If you'll have me...' what was this? Southern humour? If it was. They are not very funny people. "You are the strongest woman I have ever known my queen, you know the loyalty and dedication I have for you. I will follow you Daenerys Stormborn, from now until the end. If we are speaking honestly, in this dining hall today, let it be heard throughout, that I will love you forever" he said as he leaned forward and kissed the side of her face. He knew he shouldn't have, but he couldn't help it. Daenerys was imbedded in his soul... He lingered by her side, his face next to his, the both of them smiling at each other. Their attention broken at the sound of Tyrion's voice. The hand of the queen walked to the two of them and smiled. "If you are sure, my queen, my lord, then I look forward to seeing you both ruling Westeros, together. It has been a long time since we had two noble, honest houses working together, towards one common goal and I am fortunate and pleased to be beside you both as we take back what is yours, as we right the wrong my family has done to the kingdoms to your families, to your father, Lord Snow. My council belongs to the both of you, now and always" he said proudly. Daenerys smiled and gave her hand a small nod of appreciation. She then stood and poured herself a glass of wine. "Are there any other concerns we need to discuss?" There were smiles and nods, but no sound. "Very well, if we are to arrive in White Harbor within the next few hours, we should all take this opportunity to rest. This meeting has concluded, thank you, my lords".
