-The house of the undying-
Eddard Targaryen. Thank you for joining us again this morning" she said as she held her hands out in front of her. The rest of the women behind her taking a step up next to their leader. Ned looking back at them and taking a step back. "Yesterday you refused to command your dragons for me, and, or in front of me...why? Do you not wish to see your parents again? Your new born brothers? Your sister? She asked as she looked at the man behind him and nodded her head. The man known as Jahna, pushing him forward so that he was now, inches in front of the red priestess. Ned looked from his feet to the priest, and shook his head. "A dragon is not a slave" he whispered quietly. His eyes piercing hers. The red priest looking down at him with a smile. "Those are the words of your mother" she said as she noticed her signature death stare in his eyes. "You are definitely the product of a dragon" she said as she looked to her left side and smiled at the woman next to her. "I told you, didn't I?" She whispered quietly to her leader. Didn't I tell you? He is amazing. Just like his mother and father before him. And now we have him here, with us" she said as she took a step ahead of their leader. The red priestess taking her arm and holding her back, so that she wouldn't get too close to Ned. "Stop" she said as the grip on her arm strengthened. "Come away from him" she said as she pulled her back. The woman, shrugging her off and ignoring her commands. "You're too soft on him. Let me train him. Let me force him to show us how to command his dragons. He is not six years old. He will forget his parents" she said as she looked back at the priestess. Lorelle ignoring her suggestions. "Step back or I will have you thrown out. Do not presume to tell what I can and can't do with this child" she said as she successfully pulled her over eager follower behind her. "I will never forget my father. I will never forget my mother" Ned said loudly and confidently. All of the priestesses now chatting and whispering amongst each other.
"What if they've forgotten about you child?" A third priestess said as she stood on the other side of their leader. Ned now, moving on his feet. "They will not" he said reassuringly. The women laughing quietly between each other. "Perhaps we should show him?" Their leader suggested. The women beside and behind her, nodding their heads at once. She walked up to Ned, and put her finger on his head. Ned falling into Jahna's arms, his eyes were pure white, and in an instant, his mind was gone.
He was standing in the corridor of his house. He knew he was in Winterfell because of the sudden sound of his sister's laughter. Ned looked down and realised that he was in fact, in some sort of trance that allowed him to see his family in real time. For his ankles were unchanged. They were still raw and red from the days they spent in chains. Moreover, he was home!
Ned ran down his corridor and followed the familiar voices he could hear. He opened the chamber door and no one flinched, or even turned to acknowledge him. Ned's hand left the door handle as he walked towards Gendry and Rhaella, who was laughing and playing on his aunts bed. Rhaella didn't even notice him. His focus then turned to Arya. Who was standing in front of the fire. Wearing the same, brooding face his father wore too well. "Aunty Arya" he whispered as he walked towards her. Arya, looking straight into the flames, Ned feeling as though, she was taking no notice of him. His heart, fluttering at the feeling of disconnect and abandonment. She had never ignored him before... Ned took a deep breath and walked out of her room, closing the door behind him. He looked out of the window and walked towards it. He placed his hands on the stone window sill and saw Drogon and Rhaegal flying over his castle. He looked down and saw his Uncle Bran, sitting in his seat in the courtyard where he once trained with his Aunt. Nymeria and Ghost were sitting on either side of him. "They must have left on horseback" he thought to himself as he continued to walk through his castle. "Alone. Just the two of them" he told himself reassuringly. He stood outside of his chamber for a while before he reluctantly pressed his ear against the door. He wanted to walk in but at the same time, he didn't. He didn't know what he would see. So instead he decided to listen. He heard the cry of one of his brothers, "probably Rhaegar" he thought to himself as he pulled away from the door and smiled quietly to himself. He pressed his ear against the door again and heard a shushing sound that was familiar to him. "Aunt Sansa must be with them" he said as he pushed the door open excitedly. His heart dropped when he saw his father, sitting on the seat in front of the fire, smiling at his mother who was caressing Rhaegar's back. The both of them, enjoying each other's company. The both of them, not even acknowledging the fact the he had just walked in the door. The both of them, looking very happy without him...
Ned's eyes shot open and he saw the leader of the priestess in front of him. Her hand out in front of her, extending her support. Ned looked at her hand and took it at once. She pulled him out of Jahna's embrace and told him to leave. "What did you see?" She asked curiously. Ned looked back at her and shook his head. His heart, beating faster than it ever had. His mind processing everything he had seen...
