A Storm Is Brewing
Rain pattering
Softly descending
In a sweet
Pitter-patter
Tickling my cheek
And dancing in my hair
Rain pouring
Heavily falling
In a rhythmic
Drum beat
Bathing my face
And soaking me through
Rain thundering
Shooting down
In a vibrant
Boom
Crash
Stinging my eyes
And pricking my skin
Stages
Yet all different as can be
Soft and gentle
Playful and wild
Dangerous and paralyzing
Then back to the lighter
Pitter-patter
Till the sun returns
Once more
