Inhale
My lungs sucking air in
After I realized just how long
I've been holding my breath
You're not coming back
Inhale
In again
Before forcing it out in a rush
Hoping to send you out too
You were never going to come back
Inhale
Slower now
Filling me up
Before a controlled release
You probably don't think of me
Inhale
I still think about you
Exhale
And it still hurts sometimes
You're getting on just fine
Inhale
I used to have a brick on my chest
Making it hard to get any air in
Or out
You wouldn't understand
Inhale
The pressure is still there
When I think about your lips
But the memory of you is fleeting
You feel fuzzy to me now
Inhale
I don't have to think about it as much now
Exhale
Naturally
I don't remember what you sound like
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
It's hard to be hung up on someone who feels like fiction
