Unrequited Love

Blaire met Jared when they were in 7th grade. First day of class agad nang makuha na ni Jared ang atensyon ni Blaire dahil sa pananalita nito ang dating nito sa kanya. It was a love at first sight. A wonderful feeling from the very start, supposed to be.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Blaire Zellete Aragonza. I'm 13 years old. You can call me Blaze." Blaire smiled in front of her classmates and her teacher. She was a tall girl with a slim figure. She's always been thin since she's in her elementary days. It runs in the blood.

Nakikita niyang nasa kanya ang tingin ng mga kaklase niya habang nakangiti sa kanya, ang iba ay nagbubulung-bulungan pa habang nakatingin sa kanya. She's got all the attention, except for one guy. Hanggang sa kanyang pag-upo, sinundan niya ito ng tingin but he never threw her a glance ever.

"Jared Ian Exuary." Mabilis nitong sabi, but before he could take his seat. Mabilis na nag-angat ng kamay si Blaire sa ere. She was curious. She was interested at the moment. At kapag ganito, ugali niya nang magtanong.

"Uhmm, pwedeng magtanong, Jared?" She eyed the guy. He was tall, but she knows she was taller. Nakajacket siya at nakacleancut ang hairstyle. His face is handsome but he looks like he wants to murder anyone anytime.

And then the guy rolled his eyes. "You're already asking." He continued to scowl at her even more. That's when she started to feel her heartbeat going in a hike.

"Are you a half-breed?" tanong ni Blaire na siyang pinagtawanan ng mga kaklase niya.

"What exactly is half-breed?" tanong nito pabalik sa kanya.

Blaire shrugged. "Half this and half that. Are you half-american?" tanong ni Blaire, sa lahat ng mga kaklase niya, mukhang siya lang ang hindi tinamaan ng takot sa lalake. Tahimik ang buong room, parang walang mga estudyante.

It was obvious that he was half. He has dark brown hair and grayish eyes. Blaire just meant his last name 'Exuary'. It wasn't common here in Philippines. She wants to know where the guy came from. Since he was introducing himself, she took the opportunity to know.

"Half-British. But I never get to live at Europe, I'm from New Jersey." Tugon nito sa kanya. Nangiti lang si Blaire at nagpasalamat dahil sa sinagot nito ang tanong niya. Their classmates stared at them both at awe.

In that same class, she also met her friends that's been by her side until now. Her seatmates to be specific. On her right nakaupo si Delianne. Delianne is a meek girl, she's got curly dark hair on her shoulder level, pale skin and also tall. On her left is Urchella, with curly dark hair also and tanned skin. Maliit itong babae, ngunit saksakan ng talino.

One day, when fate decided to trigger Blaire's heart, it happened that it was because of Urchella.

"Uy, Blaire... Tingin ko may gusto ata sa'yo si Jared. Kanina ka pa kasi nya tinitingnan, actually... Noon pa." Bungisngis ni Urchella malapit sa tenga ni Blaire na abala sa pagsususulat.

Nabaling ang atensyon niya sa katabi dahil sa naka-iintrigang sinabi nito.

Nanlalaki ang mga mata nitong napatingin kay Urchella. "Oy ano ba? Bakit mo naman nasabi 'yan? Anong gusto? At paanong magkakagusto?"

"Oo nga, Urchell. Imposible. " Pagsang-ayon ni Delianne sabay tingin kay Urchell ng masama at nagtataka.

Nagkatinginan pa silang tatlo. Namula si Delianne. "Hindi naman sa imposibleng hindi magugustuhan ng isang lalake si Blaire, pero si Jared talaga?"
