(Ding dong I'm active again how have y'all been :D)
Another day, the sun shining more aggressively than you remember it usually doing in your room. As your eyes opened to a squint to greet the ceiling, it didn't look familiar to you at all.
That's when you remembered that this was in fact not your room, and you were certainly not alone to carry out your usual routine. You cautiously turned your head to the side, the sheer sound of your hair rubbing against the pillow making you worried the sleeping Levi next to you would be disturbed. When you could finally see him, his raven hair flung messily around his sharp features, your lips parted at the sight. The tired lines under his eyes still remained, but his eyebrows weren't furrowed and his signature frown was barely there, giving him a whole new appearance that you couldn't deny you appreciated.
You turned to face him completely, but as the bed creaked from your body his peace was instantly disturbed, his eyes shooting open while you attempted to squeeze yours shut to appear asleep.
You should've known it'd be hopeless."Nice try brat, get up. We need to make sure they don't see you walking out of here." He grumbled, voice still lined with a tired tone. You opened your eyes again to look at him from your place on the pillow, attempting to give him a look that would convince him otherwise, but once again you failed, only getting furrowed eyebrows as he put on his jacket in return.
With a groan, you sat up, stretching your arms along with your wings, grazing the ceiling in the process. Switching into your usual morning mode, you swiftly got out of bed, swiveling around to find your set of clothes before turning around to throw them on, Levi already out the bedroom door. When you left the room, you looked around to see him with a pair of handcuffs waiting by his office door.'Lovely.' You mused in your head.
Levi could already tell what you were thinking as you eyed the metal, but when he opened his mouth to speak you cut him off.
"I know I know, I can't be seen wandering free. Just put 'em on already, will you?" You grumbled with your hands held in front of you like a captured convict, voice fading to reveal the ounce of fear that lied within you. It took the Corporal a moment before he did as you told, taking your wrists into his hands as the metal clicked in your ears yet again. An unfortunately familiar sound.
"Let's go." Levi ordered, the edge from his voice not very apparent. With that you were led out of his room and into the halls. It's was still early, so no one was around to see you out and about.
That is, no one but the commander.
You rounded a corner and there he was, sifting through a file as he walked. However, he stopped immediately after seeing you.
"Levi? What are you doing with (L/N)? Especially out of her confinements, hm?" Erwin inquired. You didn't bother looking him in the eye, the grudge you held against him was far too big. Feeling his grip tighten on you, Levi replied."Taking her to the mess hall, she needs to eat."
"Why not bring the food down to the basement?" You could hear the way his words danced around calling it a prison.
"Because none of us here are servants and she has to continue training later today anyways, now will you get off my ass, Erwin?" Levi spat. You internally twitched at the harshness of his words, wondering whether he really wanted to be helping you escape the burdens of the cellar or was simply doing it out of pity.
"Very well. However, she must stay under surveillance with an escort. Congratulations Levi, you now have that position." Erwin stated, and with that he continued down the hall. By the end of that little exchange, you were staring at the ground with eyes so wide the stone may as well have had faces plastered on it. Not daring to look up from the ground, you spoke.
