Chapter 5

*Fiyero's pov*

We enter the City and memories flood back into my mind, all the parties, the engagement, the-- "Yero?!" Elphabas voice snaps me out of thought. "Where could they be?" She frowns. I sigh and shake my head "I dont know Fae.." I frown. Suddenly a scream is heard "It's the witch!!" A lady cries. Others gasp, or scream. Some even run. Elphaba frowns, wishing they would stop thinking she was wicked. "Save us from the witch!" A man yells to the guards. A guard runs over and grabs her. Another grabs me. Elphaba cries "No! No please I'm not gonna hurt you! I'm not, I'm not!" Elphaba pleads "please don't take me away! I need my kids! My babies! They were taken please!"

*3rd person (Glindas room)*

Liir was staring out the window when suddenly he saw his mummy and daddy. Elphaba was almost crying. Liir got really upset "Mummy" he bangs on the window. He starts crying. Aurora runs over to him and hugs him "Hey Liir look! I've got some chocolate for you!" She pulls him over to the pile of chocolate they have been eating for the whole morning.

*Fiyero's pov*

The guard sighs and drags Elphaba to the prison. The guard holding me takes me to the prison too. I try to escape his grasp and he hits me on the head with his gun. He throws me into the cell next to Elphaba's. I can hear muffled crying "Oh Yero, our babies" she cries. I look down "It's okay, they are alright" I mutter, knowing they are fine.

*Glindas pov*

The twins seem to like me enough.. They have been eating through my stash of chocolate though, goodness knows why I have that much chocolate though. Liir occasionally gets upset about wanting home. I dont know where that is though. Plus, Morrible won't let me take them home. Aurora runs over to me and sighs "Can we go home?" She smiles. I frown "Not yet Aurora" I hug her. She looks disappointed and slowly walks back to Liir. Liir frowns "Mummy and daddy are here! They were getting taken away!" He tells his sister. I jump up. I pick up the twins and leave my room. I'm a mess. I haven't got any makeup or anything. I'm still in my pyjamas! I knock on my friends door and hand him the twins. I explain what's going on and run to a guard.

"What's going on?" I frown "Where is she?" I ask. The guard points to the jail "In there miss" He sighs and looks at me, wandering what is going on that I'm still in my pyjamas. I nod and run to where Elphaba is.

*Elphabas pov*

My face is burning from all these tears. I cant stop crying, knowing my babies could be getting tortured, dead, scared. Suddenly someone runs up to my cell. I can't make out their features as my eyes are too blurry. I frown. "Elphie?" The voice says softly. "Glinda?!" I rub my eyes. "Is it really you?!" I crawl over to the cell bars. Glinda nods "Elphie! You are alive!" She wipes her eyes. She is crying. I smile and reach through the bars to touch her hand. She smiles at me. She suddenly looks at me "Elphie, you have kids right?" She smiles "Twins? A boy and a girl? Aurora and Liir?" I nod quickly. Glinda smiles "Okay, well, they are with my friend. They are safe okay?" I sigh, all my worries are gone but I'm dying to see them.

Fiyero coughs "Glinda?" He smiles. Glinda goes over to him "Oh Fiyero!" She smiles. I smile and let the two of them talk. Fiyero asks questions about the twins.

*Morribles pov*

Glinda! The silliest little blond girl ever! She just leaves the kids with a guy! Ha! I knock on the door of the man and ask for the kids. I must look firm because he sheepishly hands them over. The twins start crying. I laugh.

*Glindas pov*

I frown, I must get them out of the cells. Fiyero frowns "Glin? If.. If you go into that room over.. Over there.. You will see some keys okay?" He sighs "They.. They will open the cells." He mutters. I run and grab the keys, letting them out. Fiyero hugs me and runs out into the city. Elphaba grabs my hand and squeezes it. "Oh Glinda" She sighs. I smile "I missed you." Elphaba smiles slightly. "Let's go get the twins" she looks at me. I grab a jacket off a hook and give it to Elphaba. She slips on the jacket, puts up the hood and we walk out, into the city.

We get to my friends house. My friend, who I have known since Shiz. Elphaba quickly knocks on the door. My friend opens the door and nearly screams. I shush him "Where are the twins?!" I say, looking into his house. He looks anxious "I.. I.. I gave them to.. To Morrible" He frowns. Elphaba glares at him. If looks could kill, I dont think my friend would be alive! Elphabas expression changes from anger to panic. "Morrible has them!?" She cries. I frown "Come on! We can get them back!"

Me and Elphaba run to a tower, a tower we presume Morrible is in. Fiyero runs over to us. He looks at Elphaba. She shoves open the door and runs inside. Fiyero runs after her. I quickly follow.

*Morribles pov*

I can hear footsteps running up the stairs. Oh well, nobody can stop me! I laugh. The twins are crying. I shove the boy against the wall. He is making me annoyed. He falls to the floor, crying. Poor boy, not! I'm holding the girl, who is desperately trying to get to her brother. I smile. Suddenly the little boy looks at me, with the saddest expression I have ever seen. He is in pain, he is scared, he is only a little boy! I let go of the girl. I blink, wandering why I am hurting little kids. I shouldn't do this! Why do I want all this power anyway? I walk to the boy, who is shaking in terror. Blood is coming out of his head. His breathing is slow. I am a monster. I wail. A monster!

Elphaba reaches the top of the stairs and gasps when she see's the boy. She runs over to him and picks him up, cradling him in her arms. For a minute, I see the schoolgirl she used to be, the kind, caring soul, who was just taunted by her peers. Fiyero runs over to me and pushes me away from the twins. "What did you do?!" He yells in my face. He doesn't let me answer. He shoves me to the ground. Glinda runs over to Elphaba. I could run, but I stay. I watch the three of them care for the kids. Poor, poor boy. I frown.

*Elphabas pov*

Oh Liir, I sigh, looking at my little boy. Liir smiles slightly "mummy" he hugs me. Aurora hugs Fiyero and then me, and then Glinda. Liir touches his head, and looks at his hand, noticing the blood "Mummy! I'm bleeding" he says slowly. I nod. Glinda offers to take him to the doctor. I hand him over, slowly. Glinda looks at me. I can see that she really understands my emotions.

*Glindas pov*

I take Liir to the doctor. Liir is still awake, but is a bit confused.

The doctor checks over him and smiles "He is alright!" He smiles "Lost a lot of blood but his skull is okay, and his brain." The doctor smiles at me. He gives Liir a bandage to stop the bleeding.

Liir smiles at me "Where is mummy?" He asks. I smile "She is waiting for us!"

I pick Liir up and thank the doctor. We go back to Fiyero, Elphaba and Aurora. Morrible is still there too. I hand Liir to Fiyero who grins. Liir smiles and hugs Fiyero. Liir and Aurora slowly fall asleep on their parents. Madame Morrible watches us decide what to do with her.
