Everyone seemed excited by the news but unlike them, (Y/N) did not seem interested in that.
Away from all the others and leaning on the railing of one of the balconies in one of the rooms in the castle, she looked at that crystal rose that had been handed to her by Jinrei at the same time that his words continue resonating in her mind and the doubts that he had caused to her still caused her body to shudder and tremble.
(Y/N) could not believe the many times that she had doubted because of his words, much less was able to understand how it was that Jinrei had achieved it so easily. Was her determination so weak that anyone could make her doubt about it? Just thinking about it, (Y/N) could realize how weak she was and how insecure she could become if something related to her family was involved.
She looked again at that rose and after seeing that clear blue color of the flower, several tears appeared through her eyes until finally slid down her cheeks.
—(Y/N)...— after hearing a voice saying her name behind her, (Y/N) turns around somewhat frightened only to find Yami who had entered the room.
—Yami-sama...— she murmured trying to hide those tears that did not seem to stop. Yami started walking towards her.
—In the report that they presented me, they told me that you weren't present during the fight...—he said seriously. (Y/N) thinking that he would scold her for not doing anything to help, so she tried to apologize but Yami continues and doesn't give her the opportunity to say something—...but you know, I don't blame you. Yami came closer to her and took the body of (Y/N) surprisingly in his arms, hugging her in a delicate way.
—Your face has always shown that purity, that you don't know any evil or suffering thing, that's why I do not blame you for having felt fear when encountering something unknown...it's normal to feel fear since that will push you to be stronger, so do not let something like this affects you...—
Even if that was not Yami's intention, (Y/N) was relieved to hear those words of comfort from the captain of the Black Bulls. Clutching much more to Yami's chest, (Y/N) let out all her frustration through her tears and swearing that from that moment on, she would become much stronger to protect her loved ones.
They both remained silent for a long time until the tears of (Y/N) finally stopped. Yami lit a cigarette before releasing (Y/N) and backing a bit to look again.
He didn't understand why he behaved that way while being with her, much less managed to understand that feeling of familiarity. It was as if this was not the first time he had met with her.
