Sitting on the couch wrapped in the cold weather of the winter, you stayed up late waiting for your boyfriend to come home. The night was approaching 1 A.M., and you were still wondering why you were still awake. Changbin had been so busy these past few weeks - for the past few months, now that you think about it. He had been so wrapped up in his work, his song writing, and in Stray Kids for the past few months that you barely saw him anymore. You suppose that you should have realized that this would happen, considering his job was being an idol. However, you still couldn't help but feel disheartened at the fact that your boyfriend had practically become a stranger to you.
You wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that every night when he came home at ungodly hours in the morning, and the reason why he went straight to bed instead of even uttering a word to you was that he was simply tired. And that the reason why he never texted or called you during the day anymore was because he was producing songs, or practicing in the dance studio, or doing something else with Stray Kids. But whenever you had texted the other members asking what Changbin was doing, they always gave an excuse for him.
You couldn't help but question yourself, and him.
But at the same time, you knew what was happening - you just didn't want to admit it to yourself. Every moment you did find to see Changbin or simply talk to him, he would always brush you off. Changbin almost always gave you one-worded answers, and whenever you did press to carry on conversations, he would get angry and start snapping at you. When you would try to defend yourself, then your supposedly "peaceful" night would turn into a chaotic mess between the two of your screaming at each other, and eventually turning and stalking away from one another.
Your relationship had taken such a turn from what it was in the beginning. When you had first met Changbin, your heart soared every time you saw him, and you cherished every moment that the two of you spent together. Changbin had made you feel like a princess every time you were together, and he always said that he didn't see anyone but you; you were the only one in Changbin's eyes.
But in the most recent times where you did go out with Changbin, you saw him gazing off into the distance, his focus not on you. And you saw him look at the other girls that passed by, yet you never questioned him as you always clung onto the hope that he wasn't actually doing what you thought he was doing.
As the days went on, the spark you began to feel whenver you saw Changbin began to fade. It became less and less each day, no matter how hard you tried to cling onto it. You knew that Changbin was beginning to love you less and less each day. He wouldn't smile as much whenever he saw you, and he rolled his eyes one too many times when he came over.
He grumbled a lot when you attempted to have conversations with him, and you would go days, sometime weeks, without him as he would make up excuses to not come over and spend the night. It wasn't a toxic relationship or anything, but you just knew that Changbin wasn't as happy to be with you anymore.
It hurt you to know that the two of you were falling out of love. Seo Changbin - the boy that had originally stolen your heart is also the boy that is now slowly giving it back to you piece by piece in the most torturous way possible.
