You sat back in your chair as you read another news report about how your country received yet another attack. For the past nine months, your country of Clearcoast had been at war with another country, Thaydan. At first, Clearcoast had been receiving simple, petty threats from Thaydan saying that if Clearcoast did not peacefully unite with Thaydan, then war was to be imposed upon the two nations. The king of Clearcoast, also known as your father, had been ill for the past nine months as well, which left matters in your hands. You were the crown princess, and you were meant to descend the throne weeks ago, but due to the war, your coronation had been put off.

You rejected Thaydan's "kind" offer of uniting the two kingdoms, but apparently the nation of Thaydan was not joking in the slightest when they threatened a war. But in your offense, you sincerely thought that they were kidding; for heaven's sake, a man riding on horseback arrived at your palace with a scroll containing the whole "threat". You're in the 21st century for crying out loud - emails and technology are objects that can be used. Society has evolved for a reason. Who even rides on horseback anymore?

Thus, your rejection led to war, which has been ongoing for the past nine months. As the war is now approaching the tenth month of hostilities, your father is forcing you to meet with the other delegates of Thaydan, but it's also said that the prince was going to meet you as well. Your mother kept worrying you, saying that the an assassin of Thaydan is going to shoot you when you're not looking, but you think otherwise.

"If they had sent a man on horseback to your kingdom, then they most likely don't use guns as their first weapon choice. They most likely use swords and daggers coated in some sort of poison," is what you told your mother, but apparently your explanation did not appease her.

Despite your mother's protests, you managed to make it out of the castle without a whole army of men that your mother had summoned to protect you from any possible attacks. Once you had arrived at the grand palace of Thaydan, a group of delegates ushered you into a room where you had been sitting alone for the past 40 minutes.

Every second, you eyes kept glancing towards the clock that was hung up on the wall opposite of you. The sun was still high up in the sky, but it felt as though days had passed from the time of when you had first arrived at Thaydan. Growing annoyed with each minute that you were kept waiting, you stood up and began to make your leave, when the doors of the room you sat in, burst open.

"I'm very sorry that I'm late. I was in the middle of another meeting," a voice came from a single boy that walked through the doors of the room. Looking up, your breath caught in your throat as you took in the appearance of the person that stood in front of you.

"I'm Prince Hyunjin," the boy said, bowing before you. "You must be Princess Y/n?"

You could barely even process his introduction, as his visuals had caught you off guard entirely. As the prince stood in front of you, you began to realize the actual definition of the word 'beauty'. Despite his simple appearance of a white shirt tucked into a pair of black pants with a blue blazer thrown around his wide shoulders, he still appeared spectacular. And the way that his large smile made your heart flutter had you practically melting right on the spot.

"Princess?" Hyunjin asked, trying to get your attention again. You let out a shaky breath before nodding, trying to appear as if you weren't checking out the prince right in front of you.
