Another chapter; another two songs. Thought this one might be nice to listen to since the chapter is much longer, a little background music never hurt anyone.

Im writing this just after chapter Two was released so here this is a few days later. I already have 6 votes and 61+ reads! I'm really glad you guys like this story! And so with my magical writing powers, I am blessing you with (finally)  a proper interaction between Athen and Viggo.

SWEARING WARNING.

I mean really this is Athen we are talking about, she swears a lot.

Also here is a drawing of Athen that I made!

She herself wasn't exactly sure why the one-legged boy had decided to bring the hunter back with them from the camp to the edge. The flight back to the dragon riders base was long and awkward enough, any time the man tried to strike up a conversation with Athen she would threaten to throw him from her dragons back. That would manage to shut him up for a few minutes but not for the whole flight. Once they had returned to the edge she was tempted to punch him off the stables.

Unfortunately, she couldn't do this, she almost had but Hiccup managed to stop her from completing her task and asked her to go and settle the dragons into the stables for the night as on the horizon seemed to be a large storm that was headed towards the edge, most likely arriving during the night. While Athen was moving her brother's dragon - HookFang - into a stable cell Hiccup and Astrid walked in, leading Viggo into another cell. They were talking but quietly and out of earshot of the woman. Gallows crooed and looked up at the cloudy sky carefully, his tail swishing nervously. Athen bent down so that she was at eye level with her dragon, carefully placing a hand on the dragons metallic skin and assuring him that he would be fine before moving him into another stable cell, leaving him with a few fish to eat to calm him down.

Now leading the last dragon to a cell - Stormfly - a crash of thunder erupted from the sky, the darkening stables lit up with the light of a white bolt of lightning and Athen noticed that the brown haired boy and his girlfriend had left Viggo in a cell near the stables.  When a second and larger crash of thunder and lightning sounded and showed, StormFly shrieked and took off into the night.  Athen ran after her to the edge of the stable platform and watched her blue body fly into the shadow of the island. Rain was battering down and Athen walked back to the shelter of the stables.

"The Nadder will be fine, that dragon is more intelligent then it looks," The man in the cell said. Athen glared at him and went around making sure that all the cells were locked and all the dragons were comfortable, eventually standing in front of the cell that the brown haired man was trapped in.

"If Astrid gets angry im completely blaming it on you," she said, not a hint of remorse in her voice. His lip twitched upwards in a smirk.

"Of course" he replied, leaving Athen a little confused. The woman rolled her eyes a little and decided to go and see what the others were up to, seeing as the storm was in full swing now that didn't seem like a good option and the dark-haired woman did not feel like walking through the rain and wind just to find most of them most likely asleep. She closed the large stable door heavily and walked back towards where her dragon was, across the stables from where Viggo was locked up. She walked into the cell and sat down by her dragons flank, that was rising and falling softly with content breaths.

"Who exactly are you?" The man asked, causing Athen to raise her head in annoyance. "I heard talk of you having a sibling in the riders...who might that be?". Silence followed for a few moments as the hunter waited for her to reply.

"Snotlout" she replied carefully, eyeing the man to see if she could trace any hint of trickery from him, sensing none she went on. "He is my little brother".

"Indeed? It seems that not the entire family is as mutton headed as he is" Viggo chuckled to himself and flicked a splinter from his hand. Athen held back a defensive growl.

"A much of a mutton head that he is, I would rather you not insult my brother to my face," she said and glared at him. He put his hands up in a defensive but calm way. Signifying that he would avoid it in the future.

"Alright, you asked something, now it's my turn" she spoke. He nodded for her to continue. "Whats your deal? I mean I have only been hanging around the edge for a little while yet I've been told that every now and then you trick the riders into trusting you, then betray them straight afterwards" she finished and looked at the man for an answer.

"Well, you see im a businessman-"

"Cut the bullcrap Grimborn" she snapped and crossed her arms. "Why are you here this time, clearly Hiccup doesn't trust you considering the fact that you are locked up in a cell". As she spoke a massive lightning strike flashed through the windows, illuminating the room slightly.

"Krogan and his superior have found me expendable it seems" he spoke. "The information you received of where my camp was? Krogan sent that out himself through a few different hunters, making sure it reached Hiccup. They were sure that either you would have me killed or send me to jail for the rest of my life" he finished.

"True enough" she replied and placed her hand on her dragons head, making the silver beast purr slightly. Thunder continued to crash outside, rain bucketed down on the stables, leaking slightly in the corner of the roof that Athen was sure she had fixed a few days earlier.

"I have answered your question, now I have another for you," Viggo said. Athen nodded for him to continue. "Your burn, the one on your face...where did you get it". This made Athen freeze slightly, flames igniting int he back of her mind's eye.

"That there is none of your business" she replied harshly, getting to her feet and beginning to exit the cell her and her dragon were in. Just as she reached the door, she clutched it tightly as she was thrown forward as the stables shook. The largest crash of thunder they had heard that night reached the ears of everyone on the island, blinding lightning illuminated the stables and as the strike travelled along the metal beam on the tip of the stables the roof lit ablaze in ribbons of flame.

Ahhhh, cliffhanger, im sorry but it has to be done.

What do you think of their interaction? I feel like i've changed Athen's personality a little but it fits the story better now.
