What did you guys think of the last chapter? A little bit different then what I planned first up but there it is. Imperium means power in Latin. I made both the brothers have a Latin named dragon - sort of works with all their travels and such.

You may think this is a filler chapter but NOPE this has some serious story so let's go!.
It was dark now, crickets chirped in the small chilly breeze that blew the tent flap around, occasionally making it hit the pole that held it up. It was silent in the tent, One lay asleep, three lay awake.
Dark hair, sliced at odd angles blew in that slight breeze, whipping around the face of someone who had their scarred back leant against the cold metal of the cages. Across the room, in the cage just beside her sat another person
The man sat silently, picking at the dusty floor around him, every now and again he would pick up a small rock and flick it across the cage, letting it clang silently into the green-hued metal. The silence was broken by a sharp voice.
"Your brother sent me to look for you". This was followed by silence. She didn't speak back, her cold blue eyes stared at the ground, her face showed no emotion.
"I checked in with the riders not but two days ago, they seem well" he spoke again in a monotone voice, his brown eyes looked over her features. She showed no physical or verbal reply to his statement.
"Athen?"
No reply.
"Athen can you hear me?"
"She doesn't like to talk much. After her first week here she stopped fighting back - its like she gave up - We think it had something to do with the hunters taking her dragon friend away" the other girl spoke, she was young but her voice was mature.
"Gallows?". She nodded sadly. He stared at Athen with new knowledge, in the last month he had bonded well enough with his Typoomarang, if he were to lose the great beast it would take a toll on him, though Athen had owned Gallows since she was much younger. She would feel the main of losing a family member. The other girl moved to the back of the cage, by the other prisoner and closed her eyes, falling into sleep.
Her harsh unspoken voice erupted around them.
"Do you know how long I have been here?" Her voice was dry and croaky like she had not spoken in weeks.
"Around a month" he replied carefully.
"And everyone is okay?"
"Yes"
"My father?". He had no clue how to answer this. The man had never met her father - though he heard stories from the other riders - According to them, he was a strong man, a little rebellious against his chief - the man's brother-.
"I do not know" He gave back his reply, "Im sure he is okay" he finished. She nodded slowly as if it hurt to move.
"What did they do to you?" he asked, his voice pained and ripped.Something fell from her eye, that when he met her, he thought he would never see from her. A single salty tear fell to the ground, staining the dusty ground a dark wet colour. For once he really saw the pain she was in. Her hands were calloused and bloody, her back was ripped and raw and red and looked like death. Her eyes held no emotion but pain and mistreatment and betrayal. She wasn't the woman he had met nearly two months before.
An unknown feeling erupted in his gut, his fists clenched harshly and his nails dug into the skin on his palms. He stared out into the darkness of the camp through the open ten doors that blew around in the wind. He could get her out, get them all out. But no, he had to wait. Imperium would get the riders, they could destroy the hunters base and perhaps - just perhaps - he would be able to live the life he wanted to live when he was younger, When he was only young, before his father convinced him that everything he wanted didn't matter, before he became chief and a hunter.
He stood up, cramped legs complained but he walked none the less. Crouching down on the bars opposite to Athn.
"When we get out of here, We will find Gallows, you'll get to go home, this will all be over and we can all go home" he spoke calmly. If you knew him well enough you would hear the slight sliver of kindness in his tone.
"You don't have one" she whispered, her voice stretching itself. "A home, you don't have one". It was true. He had seen his old home only that morning, its long destroyed ruins, death by fire and flame and ruin of its own chief's wrath before Viggo had taken over.
"I will find somewhere" he pronounced. It was silent again for another few minutes before Athen's voice raised up again.
"I hope you do" she said. That was the last she spoke that night.
It was mostly silent in the tent for a while. Nothing but the short breaths of the two sleeping were heard. Athen's mind was reeling, she did like what she was forced to become, weak and voiceless, but she couldn't get out. She felt like she was trapped inside herself. She could feel the anger under her skin, raging to get free and strike down everything. But the fear of the whip that threatened her kept her quiet. They would hurt her if she stood up for herself, she would be hurt and starved.
She was humiliated, harrased and isolated.
She was hurting.
