Chapter 15

Jamie's POV:

When Seth and his group came in the kitchen, both, Ricky and Seth literally raced each other to the seats next to Raven. I was seriously trying not to laugh or smirk but I saw Raven giving me a small glare.

I seriously couldn't help myself, this was sooooooo fun!! I took both my hands and made a heart shape on the left, where mine was and is. I saw her look at me with a shock and confused expression and I couldn't help but laugh.

Grandpa gave me a puzzled look; I just shrugged and gave him an innocent smile. I looked at Raven again and she was arching an eyebrow at me... I seriously wish I could do that!

"So Raven, honey, do you have any questions? About what I just told you." grandpa asked Raven. She sighed and looked at her side. I have no idea what she was thinking but she immediately got up.

"Uhm... excuse me I need to go to the...uhm... bathroom." and with that she practically ran out the room. I saw Ricky and Seth glaring at each other, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Do you have a problem?" Ricky asked, with annoyance dripping in each word, he was glaring at me now; I just looked at him amused.

I can't believe that Ricky and Seth have a little crush on Raven; to me it was seriously hilarious. If I told her that they were men, well half human half animal, crushing on her she would hide in horror.

The thought of that made me giggle a little, I have no idea what's wrong with me today but I just can't stop laughing!

"Jenny, I think Jamie's lost it!" I herd grandpa say to my grandma; I could hear the amusement in his voice.

"Ugh, don't be mean! I've never had it any way!" I said back sticking out my tongue at him. Grandpa just laughed.

"Yea, I agree with her! Michael you're so slow." grandma said from across the kitchen rolling her eyes at me grandpa.

"Oh really?" he said getting up; with in seconds he was right behind grandma, with his arms around her waist. Grandma laughed..... I was seriously scared of what would happen next.

"Well okay your mentally slow." she said elbowing him, but he didn't even budge.

"Could a mentally slow person do this!" he said turning her around and kissing her, right then I saw Raven come in the kitchen....

Raven's POV:

When grandpa asked if I had any questions about what we just talked about, I immediately remembered that Ricky and Seth were uhmm..... Animals... well what ever they were, they weren't normal.

I immediately jumped up from my seat and made an excuse to go to the bathroom. I don't know why but I just couldn't sit between... none humans.... even though yes I might have the gene of what ever they are, but I'm still not one of them.... I hope.

I went straight to the down stairs bathroom. I looked in the mirror. My hair by now was dry and really wavy, looking almost like curls. I sighed, my eyes matched my hair which was kind of weird but I still liked my eyes, my skin was tanned, well sort of, it looked like I was losing my tan.

I sighed again and decided that I should go back to the kitchen.

I was thinking about what I was going to ask grandpa, and when I walked into the kitchen I saw grandpa and grandma busy lip locking.

"EWWWWWWW!!!" I heard Jamie and I say in union, all the men in the kitchen looked away.

"UNDER age eyes in the room!" Jamie said while laughing, at that both, grandpa and grandma stopped kissing and looked around the kitchen looking kind of worried and embarrassed.

I looked at Jamie, confused, who was under age?

"I don't see anyone underage." grandma said looked as confused as I felt.

Jamie laughed, "Well, duh! Raven! She's the most innocent one in this room!" Jamie said laughing, everyone joint her.

I couldn't help but blush a little, and glared at her. She was kind of right, I was the innocent one in the room, even though I had my first um... kiss when I was about 12, but that was like a light peck on the lips and nothing more. Yea unfortunately, but oh well life goes on.

"Oh whatever." I yelled over their laughter.

Grandpa pecked grandma on the cheek, and with in seconds he was sitting on the chair he was before. I was kind of surprised at how fast he got there, but I just shrugged it off.

I was leaning against the door frame watching grandpa.

"So how do you kill.... umm... someone that has been infected with the formula?" I asked, in that second everything went silent and I felt all the eyes on me. From the corner of my eye I could see grandma still busy with the pancakes.

"Umm...well we can't die like any humans, and we also won't die from a broken neck. We only die if you stab us in the heart, nothing more can kill us." I noticed that grandpa said us and not them.

I felt my eyebrows coming together; I really hope that he meant himself, Seth and his group, with me excluded.

"Okay, and what about me? Since I have some of the genes." I asked; grandpa nodded. Everyone in the room was still silent and still watching me like I was going to grow another head within seconds.

"From what I can see, the genes that you have are strength, speed, and a clear mind that won't miss anything." he said with pride, I couldn't help but smile.

"Mmmm, interesting." I said smirking at Seth and Ricky who were looking at me with shock. I'm guessing they're still not over my first question.

"And, you live for quite a while too." Grandpa added, giving me a huge grin and a wink.

"Pancakes are ready!" grandma yelled setting three plates piled with pancakes. And with that everyone got up running towards the pancakes.

I wasn't really hungry so I decided to go back up to my room. When I got to my room I locked the door and took out my journal and started writing everything that I learned today.
