I stood in the same spot Luke left me, stunned, as I waited for him to return so we could get the hell out.

Maybe five minutes later Luke appeared from the elevator and smiled at me. He slung a black and white nike bag over his arm and walked toward me. As soon as he approached me he grabbed my hand and waffled our fingers together. My heart race was going crazy, I thought I was going to pass out. After a couple seconds of regaining my senses, I drug him to the car.

I opened the door the blue Honda Civic and Annie looked at me, then looked at Luke, the looked back at me, then at Luke once more. "What. How. Luke. I."

"Annie, he is coming with us." I told her trying to signal to act normal, I don't think that word was in her vocabulary.

"Why, Drew do you realize if your mom sees you're done, there is no more, him." She told me being somewhat rude.

"He has a name, and it is Luke. Don't worry we will be fine." I told her reassuring that we would be fine but I wasn't quite sure that we would be. Annie started the car and we headed home, making one stop for gas at a Chevron that smelt of pot.

When we got back to my house there was no lights on, therefore no mom. I know she wouldn't be one of those parents sitting alone in the dark waiting for their child to come home because she couldn't stand the dark. She had also just worked many late nights and is more than likely down for the count.

We all hopped out of the car Luke being last and walked up the cement. I slowly opened the door and the loud creak echoed through the house once more. I made sure Annie and Luke got in the house before quickly shutting it. I grabbed Luke's hand and quickly pulled him up the stairs Annie close behind.

I opened the door to my room and we all ran in and hopped on my bed. I couldn't stop laughing.

"What?" Annie asked.

"I don't know I laugh when I get nervous." I told her.

"We should probably be quiet so we don't get caught." Luke said. Annie and I both stared at him. "What?" he asked.

"You care about getting caught?" I asked. He looked at me like I was an idiot.

"Well of course I do, you can't get in anymore trouble." I smiled at Luke's words because he cared and that felt great.

"So wait, don't think I'm rude when I ask this or anything but, why did you come back with us?" Annie asked and smiled kindly after.

"Well...Drew said she had a long story and couldn't tell me it all in the hotel lobby so I just decided to come with you guys." He smiled as his blue eyes glistened in the light of my night light on my desk.

"Okay..well tell away so we can get to bed." Annie urged on. I nodded and proceeded in telling Luke why I was grounded and what was going to happen when I got my phone back but, next week was winter break so maybe just maybe my mom could meet him and everyone could be happy.

After I finished my story, I pulled a couple blankets off the top shelf in my closet and a pillow off my bed and made Luke a small area to sleep on the floor. He thanked me and I slid under my mint green sheets and white comforter and attempted to fall asleep. It was hard to sleep with Annie beside me taking all the covers and moving every second.

As soon as I started to fall asleep I felt something grab my hand which was partially hanging off the bed. I then felt soft lips press against my skin. I didn't know wether to react or to just leave it, I decided to go with the second one and just lay still. I heard a raspy voice say into the top of my hand

"I will never leave you."

That is all I remember from the night.

I woke up at about seven and slowly sat up. I looked to Annie and she was still fast asleep, I turned to look at Luke to see the blankets folded with the pillow neatly stacked on top. I looked to my night stand to see a blue sticky note that read:

Drew,

Sorry I had to leave, we were doing more recording today and couldn't miss it. I'm coming over tonight, hope you don't mind.

- Luke x

I couldn't help but smile, he was so precious. I slowly climbed out of my bed, trying not to wake the sleeping brat next to me. I decided to go sit at my desk and look up some topics for my journalism paper due when we get back from break. The topic was to find an article in a magazine, critique it and re-write it, in your own words.

I figured I would do something from Cosmopolitan or Seventeen because those were my most frequent reads. I searched for nearly an hour and couldn't find anything that interested me besides the truth behind packaged foods. That wasn't interesting what-so-ever.

I closed my laptop and put my binder on my shelf and headed down stairs. When I reached the bottom of the stairs I had to fight the same battle every day, walking on the freezing tile that covered the floors of my house.

I quickly ran across the hallway from the door stairs to my kitchen and reached the hardwood floor which was cold but not as cold. My mom still wasn't up so it seemed as if I was making breakfast. I opened the pantry and grabbed some fruity pebbles and a bowl. I opened the massive door to my silver fridge and grabbed some milk then to the drawer and grabbed a spoon. I ate my cereal in peace until I heard someone thumping down the stairs.

Annie then turned the corner and I laughed at her hair which was half sticking up.

"What are you eating?" She asked.

"Fruity Pebbles." I told her with a mouth full of colorful cereal. She nodded and carried on with the same steps as I did with the box of cereal. Her lazy feet slapped the hardwood floor and I couldn't help but laugh at much she reminded me of a sloth.

As soon as she sat down she brought up Luke. "Where did he go?"

"Recording some stuff." I said.

"Oh." Was all she had left to say. "Well, what do you wanna do today?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"We can always go ice-skating, just a Drew and Annie day?" I asked.

"Oh my gosh! Yes! We haven't had one of those in awhile!" She yelled throwing her hands up in the air. I laughed at her weird actions and we finished the morning eating our cereal.
