Keith walked into the room slowly as he saw Lotor on the bed sleeping as an arm was draped across his torso and Lance was on the edge of the bed holding his hand tightly with his head down against his own arm.

He pursed his lips and walked over to Lance and heard a soft snore from Lance. The galra spy grabbed a blanket as he laid it over lances shoulders and knelt next to him.

"Lance," he whispered quietly as he touched his arm gently.

"Hey man, wake up, I have something for you," Keith smiled a little as Lance opened one eye but closed it yawning.

"Unless it's a churro, I'm not interested," Lance replied tiredly and Keith frowned at him unamused.

"Lance, I found your mother," he whispered crossing his arms. Lance stood up quickly as he let go of Lotors hand and looked at Keith covering his mouth.

"¡¿Mi madre?! ¡dónde! ¡vamonos!" Lance grabbed his hand pulling Keiths hand but was stopped.

"She's being transferred, we only have a little time, when we get her my cover... It's going to be blown, I'll have to escape with her," Keith told him and Lance spun to him.

"Let's do this right then," he nodded.

"I... I can," Keith held his hand tightly. "This is your chance to go to,"

"I don't think I can," Lance gulped. "But get Chloe, take her with,"

"I'm not leaving without you,"  keith frowned.

"I can't leave Lotor to die alone," Lance looked down and Keith blinked a few times.

"Lance this is your chance for freedom, and your staying for the man who inslaved you," Keith gripped lances hand tightly pulling him close with worried eyes.

"We're not going over this again, he's my friend Keith, I wouldn't leave you to die alone if it was you on that bed," Lance ripped his hand back hurt by the words.

"Lance this is our only chance, your mother-" "and my sister, I can handle it here, Chloe and my mom have to get out, Lotor and the generals aren't like the other galra," Lance backed away standing by Lotor.

"No, he's right," a new voice rasped and they saw Lotor pushing himself to sit up more but was now awake but looked pale.

"S-shit Lotor I-I it's not what it-" "Ezor told me," Lotor waved him off and Lance looked away from him as he was afraid now, he stood close to Keith.

"As well as the spy, paladin of Voltron, I have known for a while of you red paladin," Lotor coughed trying to stand but his legs shook.

"But zarkon should be dead, I sent off my general to kill him as he is in his weakest state," he sat back down and Lance looked at him with guilt.

"I'm sorry," Lance whispered.

"Don't, listen to the red paladin, take your sister and go, Hagar will find out sooner or later about you," Lotor looked at him.

"About me? What do you mean?" Lance gulped.

"Hananki..." Keith whispered figuring it out seeing petals. He knew.

"Yes," he stopped to cough but grunted holding his stomach as the pain in his lungs increased.

"You going to kill him?" Keith whispered stepping in front of Lance.

"Wouldn't I have by now? As I have days or less till my death," Lotor inhaled deeply as he stood up.

"Please don't talk like that Lotor, it's not to late to save yourself," Lance pleaded almost holding onto Keiths shoulder.

"Lance you know do know what hananki is right?" Keith looked at him but saw Lotors eyes widen.

"Duh, but it doesn't mean you get to..." Lance trailer off looking down. "I'm just tired of people dying,"

"I have lived for centuries, I believe my time shall come to an end as well as this war," Lotor placed a hand on his shoulder and Lance had tears in his eyes.

"But still...."

"Red paladin, you will be in charge of the transfer ship, take the prisoners to your base, Lance you will be transferred, this is your chance to freedom, I will address soldiers that you and your sister are to be transferred," Lotor told them and Keith slowly nodded.

"If you known I'm a spy why trust me? Better yet what's stopping you from blowing up that ship? Destroying the ship is a double win, you continue to rule the empire and a paladin of Voltron is dead," Keith spoke up waving a hand to stop Lotor.

"Your right, I could easily kill you all even now before sending anyone to their freedom, it's a win either way, but I have thing the galra do not," Lotor stormed toward Keith as Lance reached for the two but was passed.

"I have honor, and I want my people to have a better future than blood, you are galra as well, do not dis me for my physical appearance as I am altean as well paladin," Lotor growled in his face.

"Victory or death will always be in our blood,"

Keiths eyes widen as he stared up at Lotor as his breath hitched in panic. He didn't want that title of a galra, to naturally be evil, to only succeed or to die.

"But we are not just galra, remember that," Lotor nodded and Keith closed his eyes knitting his eye brows together.

"Isn't princess Allura altean, Keith?" Lance looked at him pursing his lips. He nodded.

"Come with us then, they have technology for the surgery, you don't have to die," Lance grabbed Lotors hand and the prince saw hurt on Keiths face.

"That is not my fate, I have accepted this long ago blue..." Lotor let go of his hand but they all jumped when the generals ran in as Ezor had tears in her eyes and Acxa and Zethrid had anger and hurt on their faces.

"What is it?" Lotor turned to them as strong as he could look.

"It's Narti," Ezor covered her mouth.

"Zarkon is awake," Acxa told him with wide eyes and everyone paled. Lotor lost consciousness.
