16. The Calm Before The Storm

You woke up scared. It took a minute of pure terror for you to realize that you were okay. The bed you were in was soft and inviting, friends where just a few doors down.

You wrapped your arms around your knees. How often is this going to happen to me? I can't live with this horror.

You didn't want to live with the memories of lightning shooting through your body, thunder cracking your bones. You didn't want to know that pain.

Why me? You wailed internally. Why did it have to be me? Why did they hurt me? Of all their prisoners, why me?

For a moment you felt guilty, wishing that pain upon others. You whipped your tears. They hurt me, because they were scared of what I could do. If what I will do. Fury replaced the pity and fear.

I will make sure every single one of them are shattered by the storm I will bring.
