*knock*knock*

"Ceara? Are you up yet?" Groggily dragging my feet to the door, I gave Hiyori a tired answer.

"Yeah..." I was so sleepy that I'm pretty sure my reply sounded like a yawn. Scanning the room to find the clock, I greeted Hiyori, "Good morning. Aren't you supposed to be heading for school? It's past eight.

"Oh! I won't be going today, something had come up, well, more accurately, someone came over early morning, asking for you."

For me?

***Two hours earlier***

*ding*dong*...

Yato was already awake in the living room at 6 o'clock in the morning. He hadn't slept last night. He was still messed up over how Ceara wanted to stay away from him. This had never happened before, she was always there, she would never deny him.

He knew eara had feelings for him, but he never wanted to return those feelings because he was scared at the time. He was scared to be tied down to marriage and not have the freedom he has today.

If he had got married, then he'd have to carry all the responsibilities of being a good husband, a good father eventually and he was scared that he'd not be able to have the fun he'd always loved to have.

But that was then.

Right now, he hates himself for not letting Ceara know the real reason why he left without a goodbye. He didn't expect Ceara to hold on for so long. He'd thought that the marriage would have been deteriorized due to the long span neglect.

She held on.

He didn't.

*ding*dong*...

He kept wondering why he felt an attraction to Hiyori. He realised that it was mostly because of her motherly character. She'd always been firm with him, it had at times annoyed him but eventually he neglected it.

It was unitl C had come up to him with the marriage cancellation papers that he had realised that he had, all this time, been missing, longing for, C's companionship. How she'd always be the caring one, looking out for him. She had always been able to keep him on track, but she never forgot to let him feel the freedom he wanted.

What an idiot he was. He just up-an-left when he was given the marriage contract.

But it wasn't like he hadn't tried to get C and himself to work. He still remembers that kiss they shared in her room. He'd be a hypocrite if he said hthat he'd felt nothing.

*ding*dong*...

But it was that something that he had felt that had him scared.

Did he actually want Hiyori?

Was he making himself to believe that he feels something for her?

Or was she just a replacement for the emptiness he felt when C wasn't around?

"Dude!! What the heck is wrong with you?! Someone's at the door for the past half-hour!"

He stared blankly at Yukine who stomped off to the door in his pajamas to answer the door.

"Who's at the door, Yato?" Hiyori came down the stairs inher pajamas as well.

"Good morning, guys! Is Ceara up?" Yato's head snapped at the male voice asking for his C.

Woah... his C?

Pari had a bouquet of sunflowers, Yato couldn't help but roll his eyes at this. 'The idiot should know that C loves white roses.' he thought.

"No she slept in today." Hiyori answered sweetly. This tugged at Yato's feelings - it's his fault that she was emotionally tired.

"I actually wanted to take her out today. Could you tell her I left these for her?" Yato couldn't help but get angry at this. "Oh and could you tell her to call me when she's up?"

"Sure. No problem." He left immediately after leaving Hiyori, Yukine and Yato together.

"Wow."
