"You ever just kinda want to stop existing" Vigil's voice cut through the silence, he felt eyes slowly look at him.

Patton placed a hand near Virgil, "Kiddo that's not a very nice thing to say-"

"You know we're just specks of dust floating in space and trying to make a living even though it's all pointless."

Roman sighed, "...Virgil I am trying to sleep-"

"Payback from this morning" Virgil snapped back.

"At least I didn't try to kill someone!"

"Oh will you two stop? Yes Virgil we are space dust. But it is certainly rewarding when accomplishing a goal-" Logan grabbed his glasses from the counter, propping them on his face.

"Well yeah but there's no point"

"Well, kiddo, it makes us happy when we do something we tried really hard on" Patton grinned, "Like when Roman finally managed to bake chocolate chip cookies without burning himself-"

"You mess up one time!"

"Well actually Roman, you failed about a dozen ti-"

"No one asked Windows ME"

Virgil stifled a laugh, continuing his dark facade, "We're all useless-"

"Virgil, go to bed"

"We have no point here"

"Virgil."

"Time is running out"

"That's enough" Logan crawled over to Virgil, placing his hand over his mouth, "Go. To. Bed."

"...did you just lick my hand?" Virgil nodded, a smile on his face as Logan pulled away.

"You tried, you failed, let's go to sleep"

"Finally!" Roman sighed in content, snuggling into the couch pillow.
