Swan's House - Living Room/Kitchen
Late Afternoon

Bella enters to find Charlie cleaning a rifle. Harley is skipping around the kitchen making a sandwich while humming. He starts to say hello but she just blurts out-

"I have a date with Edward Cullen." He suddenly looks like he's having an aneurysm. Harley looks away from her sandwich making and lets out a laugh.

"Well cupcake, you don't hold anything back. Do ya?" Bella just rolls her eyes at this.

"He's too old for you."

"We're both juniors. I thought you liked the Cullens." Bella asks, confused and annoyed.

Charlie quickly backfires. "And I thought you weren't interested in any of the boys in town."

"Edward doesn't live 'in town.' And it's in the early stage and -- whatever, he's outside right now."

Charlie looks to the door in shock. "Now? He's out there?"

Bella nods. "He wants to meet you. Officially."

"Good." He cocks the rifle in mock-seriousness.

"Be nice, okay? He's... important." Charlie gives his daughter a reassuring nod. Harley skips past them to the front door.

"This I gotta see." Then she opens the door to reveal Edward in a parka and gloves. He looks to Harley with a unknown look before facing Charlie.

"Chief Swan. I wanted to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward." Edward extends his hand. Charlie takes it, but grunts a hello, resisting him. Harley looks out behind Edward, lets out a huge smile and quickly running up the stairs.

Bella looks out as well than facing her boyfriend with confusion. "Why are Rosalie and Emmett here?"

Edward let's a small smirk. "They are here to pick up Harley."

Bella looks to Charlie. "Harley is with Rosalie and Emmett in a relationship, are you going to question her?" Secretly hoping he would keep her back and ground her for being in a relationship, in her opinion the three way relationship isn't right. Wondering how they could keep up Harley when she can't even keep up as her sister.

Charlie lets out a small smirk. "She's already told me." Bella looks to him with a open mouth in shock. Harley comes back down with a baseball outfit on and her bat over her shoulder.

"I'm ready, bye daddy." Harley skips to Charlie and kisses his cheek before weaving around Edward, and to her boyfriend and girlfriends side.

"Have fun, Harley." Charlie calls out before facing Edward with a gruff expression.

"I won't keep Bella out late tonight. We're just going to go play baseball with my family."

"Bella's going to play baseball?" Bella's equally surprised, but hides it.

"Yes, sir, that's the plan."

"Well. More power to you, I guess."

Edward looks him in the eyes. "She'll be safe with me, sir, I promise." As Edward exits, Charlie holds Bella back.
