I stumbled across the rooms, once again lost. I felt confused, scared, and even a little disgusted at myself- not with my actions but with how I felt when I committed them. I felt powerful, strong, and mighty- something I shouldn't feel when harnessing black magic.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't regret showing Zaya who really is the alpha female, but I had to recognize the consequences of my actions. The looming possibility that I would loose control- that really scared me

I continued walking around, I needed a breath of fresh air

Room after room passed by, everything beautiful but cold and distant

After 30 minutes of aimlessly wandering, I stumbled upon an elegant room with a large double glass door leading outside. I carefully approached it and laid my hand upon the cool silver handle. As I stepped outside, I couldn't help but to gasp at the beautiful garden area before me. It was an extension of the castle, a mile or so out I could predict there was a gate and wall.

How ironic, the beautiful pine tree's before me next to the evil beast within me.

I looked up at the grey sky and the small tendrils of snow that fell from it, so soft and innocent- snow was a beautiful and rare occurrence in my old pack- not that I could see it sense I was forced to clean up after the pack's mess. I allowed my feet to take me forward, roaming around the grand pine tree's and bushes that were scattered throughout. I smiled as I rubbed my chilled hand against the snowy tips of the tree's, almost as if I was remembering a faint memory

"Kadence?" A voice said from a few feet behind me, sending pleasurable shivers down my spine. I didn't even have to turn around to know who he was, I was becoming more and more familiar with his presence, his touch, his voice...

"Damien" I said,  discomfort laced in my voice. I turned around to face him, my eye's had returned to their usual ice blue but I still had the slightest red tint to them. I glanced up to meet his face, it was adorable the big bad alpha bundled in a hat and gloves with a thick coat over him. I could tell he had been roaming around for some time, the tip of his nose was slightly tinted pink, but his face still looked as stunning as usual.

"Whats wrong?" He questioned and began approaching me with long strides. I looked towards the floor, not wanting to recall any memory's from the past hour. I was ashamed- and I really did not want Damien getting involved in my dark side, it would complicate things and everything that was good would probably fall apart.

I felt his warm glove on the side of my face as he tilted my head towards his. He carefully inspected my face, looking for any cuts or bruises or discrepancies. I smiled, he was awfully worried for me- that was pretty cute.

"Kadence, talk to me what happened?" He questioned me, gently but firmly urging me to elaborate.

"Did someone touch you, I swear to godess who ever that sick fuck was I'll rip his body limb from limb for even trying to do something to you- no for even looking at whats mine" Damien growled out possessively, his eyes beginning to darken into a black color, showing his vengeance. I could feel his claws beginning to peak from below his gloves, he was obviously mad at just the thought

"No, no, no" I cooed into his ear, wanting him to calm down, "I just- seeing Zaya brought up some old memories thats all, it's really unimportant" I said, ensuring my lie was as close to the truth as possible

I mean, it was the truth... seeing Zaya did bring up all the times she would harass me and all the times at the academy, but I did conveniently let out the part where I used dark magic
