Estrella's fingers intertwined with Lucifer's, squeezing tightly while her body did its job to get this baby out. The hospital room held two nurses and a female doctor. She had been pushing for twenty minutes or more and she felt like giving up - falling asleep, but Lucifer was giving her small waves of his strength to keep her going.
"You're doing great, Estrella. Her head is out, just a few more pushes and you can hold your little girl."
Estrella glanced at Lucifer tiredly and smiled before turning to her main focus in this moment. He was impatiently waiting; would Danika look like him or her mother, he wondered.
"Brother," echoed Abaddon's voice through Lucifer's mind. "Michael is in the building... he exorcised the demons at the entrance."
Lucifer's blood began a violent boil and he glanced down at Estrella.
"I'm going to go take care of someone," she looked up at him with panic. "Abaddon will be with you... I'm going to make them go away."
She wanted to scream no, to throw a tantrum and convince him to stay, but her mind was too tired to fight with him. Lucifer released her hand and approached the door, not looking back because he knew if he did just by looking at him would convince him to stay and he needed to handle this on his own.
"Stay with Estrella, brother. This is my fight... if I don't return please take care of her and protect my daughter." Lucifer's mind sent out then he blocked anymore voices.
He walked the corridors angrily, searching for any sign of Michael. The hospital was exploding with emotions from humans, power from fallen angels, but he couldn't find Michael's energy.
"Looking for me, disgraceful bastard?"
Lucifer halted in his tracks and slowly turned around. Michael kept a safe distance at ten feet, and he held his angelic blade.
"No baby gift?"
Michael's nostrils flared and he gripped the handle tighter. He was going to end Lucifer tonight, along with Estrella and the child. Suddenly, a newborn's cry echoed through the corridor and Michael's face twisted from anger to horror. Lucifer's body began glowing a golden light and his eyes were shining bright red now instead of black. He chuckled darkly and cracked his neck, feeling the power running through his veins.
"This is going to be fun," he stepped forward. "I've been dying to beat you at this game, Mikey."
"Come get me then!"
Lucifer dodged towards Michael and they both went flying; destroying everything in their path and causing patients to scream in fear. He slammed Michael through walls until they both smashed through a window and began falling to the cement below. Michael landed on his back, and the Earth underneath him cracked. He coughed up some blood, started to sit up but Lucifer appeared out of nowhere and punched him.
"Come on, Mikey. Don't just lay there and take it like a good little bitch," Michael spit out a mouthful of blood and Lucifer jerked him upwards by the throat. He was stronger than Michael imagined. "you're nothing but a jealous little brother. Perhaps you're the one with the abandonment issues, hm? Daddy didn't love you enough and now he's left you all alone, can't handle it?"
He was choking on blood and no oxygen, but he wasn't dying like this. Michael's large wings shot out of his back and began flapping, taking them upwards to the clouds.
"Jealous of you? I have Heaven, my grace, my siblings and most importantly my wings. You have nothing!"
They were flying over the town and Michael drew a dagger, jamming it into Lucifer's rib cage. He roared out in agony, trying to pull it out but it was too deep. Michael prayed it would weaken him but he grew stronger with anger and vengeance. He reached out and grasped the left wing, tearing it off easily and sending it falling to the Earth. They began falling with it, as the right wing couldn't carry both of their weight. Lucifer smashed into the Earth, seeing Michael land not far from him. He could hear the cries of agony and sorrow but Lucifer was too concentrated on the dagger. It was buried deep and took a lot of pulling until it came out covered in blood.
"Goddamn it!" he hissed and dropped the blade. Blood oozed from the wound badly but he had other important stuff to attend to. "do you seriously believe your God took my wings?" Lucifer was taunting him. "I still have my wings. I just don't hold them as royalty like you dumbasses do," Michael rolled his eyes. "and I may not have Heaven. My siblings, nor my grace. But I do have something none of you do, and you definitely won't... a soulmate and a child. How bad does that sting?"
"Do you think I want to hear what you have to say? You are nothing but a deceiver," Michael laughed. "it's too bad you won't get to meet your brat."
"Then get up and kill me, if you're so bloody confident in doing so!"
Michael hesitated but Lucifer saw the angelic blade manifest in his hand. He smirked and waited. He was beyond prepared. Michael jumped up and ran towards Lucifer with full force, the blade prepared to strike him. He slammed into Lucifer like a wall and his eyes widened.
"Did you think I'd give up that easily?" Lucifer whispered and twisted Hades' blade deeper into Michael's abdomen. "I always win, little brother."
He clenched at Lucifer to keep on his feet but Lucifer pushed him down. The blade was glowing red and Lucifer was watching him die with satisfaction.
"Why are we like this, brother?" Michael choked on blood.
"Blame our father," spat Lucifer. "he done this to us long ago... now, I just have a little girl to protect and you were a threat."
Michael coughed more. He knew he was dying.
"Brother, please stop this war... before it's too late."
Lucifer listened closely and lowered to his knees by Michael. He grabbed the sword's handle and said;
"Go to hell, Michael."
He forced the blade deeper and watched Michael's soul die. The Earth was silent now, and Lucifer felt no remorse for what he had done. He removed the blade and rose to his feet, sighing and wincing from the wound. The sun was beginning to rise and he knew he needed to see his daughter; he could feel her strength pulsing through the air. There would be consequences for murdering Michael but the punishment was unclear and Lucifer knew he was prepared for anything thrown at him.
"My son..."
Lucifer's breath hitched. He recognized that voice too well. He turned around and clenched his teeth with hatred.
"Father..."
