"You look ridiculous." I laughed after glancing over to George, who was wearing a black trench coat, a pair of dark sunglasses, a newsboy hat and a fake moustache that we had picked up from his flat, which conveniently was only a couple levels lower than Brian's in the complex.

"It's either this, or getting mobbed." George spoke tiredly, his fake moustache starting to lift up from his upper lip as we walked out of the elevator on the ground level of the apartment building.

"Suddenly I like the costume a lot better." I nodded making George chuckle as he tried to stick the moustache back on his upper lip.

We left a letter for Brian and I was already beginning to regret leaving, why did I even agree to leave with George? I wasn't sure what to think, so I tried not to think much at all, just go with it all.

Maybe this was George's way of showing he could move past it and we could be friends, at least that what I was hoping it was, if not this was going to be an awkward afternoon.

We began to walk along the streets in silence, admiring the things that passed us.

"So, how have you been?" George asked casually, looking over at me behind the dark sunglasses.

"Alright I suppose," I nodded, "You?" I asked tucking a piece of hair behind my ear looking back at him.

"Good," he trailed off, "a lot has changed since we went to America, with the band and all." He said sticking down the moustache once again.

"Yeah, you guys were absolutely brilliant on the Ed Sullivan show." I smiled over at him.

"You watched that?" He asked seeming slightly surprised. I fixed the tote bag I had on my shoulder and nodded.

"Of course I did." My smile widened as I watched a grin tug the corners of his lips upward.

"Well, what did your boyfriend think of the performance?" George blurted quietly turning his head to road becoming very shy.

"Oh, I don't have a boyfriend." I watched him observantly, my eyebrows creased in confusion, suspicious of his sudden tenseness.

I feel like it was an odd question to ask, but considering the fact I had told Brian I had been seeing someone to get him off my back about finding someone, and knowing Brian can't keep his mouth shut made me realize where the thought had come from.

"Oh." George replied softly, his eyes looking to the ground.

I looked down at my hands as we walked slightly embarrassed as I began to overthink.

He had a perfect model girlfriend and I am completely single, having been that way ever since he left for London, with only the occasional few dates with the wrong guys along the way.

"This one looks funny." George said pointing at another painting hung up at the art museum we had ducked into just a little while ago to check it off on the list of places George wanted to take me today.

He tilted his head sideways as he stared at the mess of colours on the canvas trying to make sense of it.

"It's abstract." I smiled standing beside him and looking at the painting as well in admiration.

"It doesn't look like anything." He stared at it intensely, looking very puzzled.

"Well, not every painting makes sense." I shrugged looking at George with a grin seeing him taking interest into the art.

"It's beautiful chaos. It's messy, and it doesn't make any sense, but, something inside just feels right about it. It's, perfect." I looked over at him, my eyes lighting up as I spoke.
