It's long...

❇❇❇

Armineh's shoulders felt heavy and her heart was still not at ease because she hadn't gathered the courage to talk to her mother about all the things that had gone wrong between them despite spending a week there. Her mother pretended everything was well and she didn't like it. Maybe, she was giving her time but the more Armineh looked into her behavior the more she felt deceived, is that how her mother fooled Ardashir's father? Why didn't she take the first chance to explain herself? Why did she not say anything?
Armineh mentally cursed herself for even entertaining the damned thought and blinked, pushing the earing through the piercing.

Armineh was grateful for the knock that resounded on the door in the next moment, Yahya Firas peeped inside and her dark lips pulled into an involuntary smile.

"May I come in?" Yahya Firas's heart jumped in his chest as he forbid his eyes to blink, he had to stop himself from looking twice, she looked breathtakingly beautiful in her sheer black dress.

"Of course, "Armineh threw a small smile in his direction before she leaned on the dressing table to wear the other earing. No- to calm her frenzied heart. He looked so handsome, dressed to the nines in his dark suit and he had foregone shaving, allowing the dark stubble to sweep his jaw for another evening. Armineh almost swooned.

Yahya Firas folded his arms behind his back when he walked inside, he feared he'd find them at her petite waist, emphasized by a black ribbon cinched around than by his side.

Armineh took a deep breath as she straightened and took a double take at the messy knots of the tie, "What did you do to your tie, Yahya Firas?"

Her wine lips pulled his attention as her straight-toothed smile widened and it nearly took his breath away. Stunning.

Yahya Firas swallowed, he suppressed the urge to run a hand through his gelled hair when she pointed out precisely what he had been worried about, fumbling with the tie in one hand.

"Should I do it for you?" Armineh asked, taking a step forward when Yahya Firas didn't say anything. He was too busy admiring her and her sleek hair when she nervously tucked them behind her ears. Yahya Firas didn't think he'd ever forget the sight of her.

He nodded, absentmindedly.

Yahya Firas caught her wrist in his hand as she lifted a hand to his tie, "What are doing?"

"Your tie," She pointed, tugging at her hand. Her lips lifted at one corner, "Am I in the no go zone?"

"Should I kiss you to prove you're not?" He spoke, quietly as he stared at her with intense eyes.

He didn't mean it or did he?

Yahya Firas pushed his hands inside the pockets of his pants, he didn't want to take any risks with his control slipping second by second. For the longest time, he'd been suspicious where his interests lied after what he had gone through but he was a hot-blooded male as any other and Armineh was his woman. For the first time in years, he didn't hate himself being affected or loathe her for eliciting a reaction from him.

Her eyes were as wide as saucers when Yahya Firas put two fingers under her chin and pushed her head, back. Her earrings jingled.

"I am sorry, I didn't hear you. Thora ooncha boliyai ga," (Speak a little louder.) She teased, her heart thundering in her chest.

"Main qareeb aakar boldaita hoon taakay aapko behtar sumujh aajaye." (I'll come close and speak so you can understand better.) Yahya Firas turned her head to the side and brought his lips close to her bright ear. Was it him or the earings?
