Okay y'all I got another question that I meant to pair with the anthem question.
Do y'all do the pledge of allegiance?
I don't. One, I don't feel comfortable pledging allegiance to an inanimate object, even if it is supposed to represent America.
Second, America is not "one nation under God with liberty and justice for all".
I'm not just saying that for black people, for Native Americans, for Middle Eastern people, for people of color in general.I haven't done the pledge of allegiance since seventh or eighth grace, something that I am quite proud of.
For those of y'all that don't know, here are the words:
I pledge allegiance to the flag
Of the united states of america
And to the republic for which it stands
One nation under God
With liberty and justice for all
