Europa's POV

It's been four days.

Four days since Elliot and Zeref fought each other. After they collapsed, it took us almost an hour to recover from what had happened. Once we did, we quickly tended to their wounds, which weren't healing the way they were supposed to be. Their body temperatures were extremely high, and their breathing was labored. It took almost two days for the both of them to become stable. Deimos' wounds started healing at the third day, but Elliot suddenly started relapsing. Her body turned pale, and she started breathing through her lips. Ever so often, she would whimper, her head twitching in one direction.

Deimos' direction.

It took me a while to realize this, but when I did, I immediately ordered my people to drag their beds together.

Her body was completely healed overnight.

During all of this, the unity within my team began to crumble. Many people were against helping them, and others were simply too traumatized to even go near them. This incident completely shook up everyone.

Even me.

My mind went back to the disastrous fight between Elliot and Zeref. Seeing Elliot that way, fighting on par with a Cursed Wolf, made many questions run through my mind. What exactly was Elliot? What was those signs and markings on her body?

Most of all. . .

So this is what the Last Red wolves sacrificed their lives for.

What did Elder Athena mean by that sentence? What did she know about the Red wolves?

Why was she always visiting Elliot?

"You're overdoing it again."

Lilly's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I wiped the sweat from my face before turning to her. "You've been up here for far too long, Commander. I'm. . . the team's worried about you. You shouldn't over do it", I gritted my teeth, and turned my back to her.

"Werewolves can't overdo training, Lilly. Our bodies-"

"Our bodies could recover. . . but our minds can't. Have you slept at all these last few days?" Lilly quickly interjected, and I growled under my breath. I didn't need to sleep. Not while my men are in such a state. "You're pushing yourself too hard Europa. No one blames you for what happened! No one knew that Deimos would lose control like that! Not so soon!"

"Yeah", was all I said before walking past her. I suddenly felt her hand grab my shoulder, and I angrily spun around to face her. "You are our commander. We need you down there, leading us! Not up here!"

I spun around, my face now inches from my second in command.

"Leader? Even down there, I couldn't do a thing to Zeref. I barely left a scratch. What good am I to the King if I can't even protect a few pawns? If I can't even protect myself?" My voice was calm, yet cold. Lilly's eyes narrowed, and she looked as if she was about to say something, when a voice suddenly interrupted.
