Marley's POV

How didn't I notice it earlier?

They weren't huge, but they also weren't small.

They pointed upwards, and was as dark as the strange markings on her skin.

The strange markings that covered the exposed parts of her body.

Elliot's smile faltered, and she followed my gaze down to the markings on her skin. She almost self consciously covered herself, but then placed her hands on her lap.

"I. . ."

"What happened Elliot? What are those markings? and the horns? What's going on?" I asked her nervously. Elliot looked up at me in surprise, before lowering her gaze. "I-"

She tried to speak, but suddenly stopped.

"Elliot?" I leaned closer to her. "Who. . . did this to you?"

She was about to respond, but I didn't notice. I suddenly remembered the red wolf behind me, and spun around to face her.

"You." I turned around, and stared directly at the red wolf. "You called her young empress didn't you? What's that? Is that what this is?" I pointed at Elliot, or more specifically, at the marks on her skin.

What was going on?

I watched the markings once more, then froze.

The crescent moon patterns.

The horns.

The proverbial gears started turning in my mind. Those patterns. . . I saw that somewhere.

The research that my parents did. The studies and theories that they had.

Of Cursed wolves.

"Deimos. . . he did this. . .  didn't he?" I looked around, then growled. "That Cursed wolf. He did this, didn't he?" I said it again, this time I placed my hand on Elliot's shoulders, causing her to flinch slightly. "Where is he?" I asked her angrily, and she started shaking her head. "Marley. . . calm down-"

"How can I? Look at you!"

Elliot practically flinched at my words. But again. . .

I didn't notice.
