I look around the cafeteria, trying to find my friends, and by the time I'm almost ready to give up, I see Sabrina waving at me like an idiot and I smile weakly and make my way towards her and my other friends who are sat around the same table.

"You", Sabrina says as soon as I sit down, "have something to tell us, don't you think?" She raises an eyebrow at me and I shake my head and search through my bag for my lunch.

"I have no idea of what you are talking about", I say as I place my salad, I couldn't stand the sandwiches and crisps, down on the table.

"Nothing, huh?" Jamie smirks and winks at me playfully but I can see the confusion in his eyes as well as in everyone else's. Even though they are trying their best to hide it. I can't blame them, I mean, I broke up with Nathaniel not even a week ago and they know how much I love him and then I suddenly 'kiss' the new guy in front of my class. That's not something I would do but now, they think it is.

"It's nothing, really", I mumble under my breath, hoping no one will hear it.

"It didn't look like nothing", Sabrina says and give me a meaningful glance.

I slowly open my salad, dragging on the time on purpose, and keep my lips shut.

Claire, who seems to get that I don't want to talk about it, quickly changes the subject and ask everyone about their result on our last test. I smile at her and she gives me a small nod.

We chat about how the teacher who graded the test probably hates us all human beings on earth for a while before going into meaningless chit-chat, all while eating our lunches. Glancing at the clock, I realize we still got twenty minutes until next class and I sigh and lean back in my chair, not really paying attention to the conversation around me.

Suddenly, I feel arms wrap around my waist from behind and I almost scream in surprise and all of my friend's faces turn to me.

"Hello, gorgeous", a husky voice whisper in my ear before kissing my neck. I freeze and turn my head, even though I already know who it is, and look at Nick. He smiles innocently at me and I gulp before I turn back to my friends, who all are staring at me with raised eyebrows as if to say they knew it was something going on between Nick and me.

"Care to tell us about who he is yet?" Sabrina asked, although not in a serious tone - much to my relief.

"You haven't told them?" Nick asks me, acting surprised, before meeting the eyes of my friends.

"I'm her boyfriend, Shane." He smiles, not smirk, and I have to use all my willpower to not gag or grimace. Instead, I have to act as if what he says is true because I know that if I don't, my friends or Nathaniel will be in trouble.

"You're from America as well?" Sabrina asks him, probably because of his accent. Nick nods as an answer and then straighten up and practically lift or drag me off of my chair. I look at him in confusion as I'm forced to stand on the ground and he slips down in my place instead and then, once again, grab me and place me on his lap.

Knowing that I'll try to get away, he secures his arms around me and I sigh and force a smile on my lips as I look up at him.

"Don't you think this is... too much?" I ask, embarrassed because of the fact that I know we've caught the attention of some other students in the cafeteria.

"What makes you think that?" he says and starts to caress my arm. I shiver, and not in delight, and cautiously gaze around the cafeteria.

"Everyone is staring", I mumble. Nick's chest vibrates as he chuckles and slowly, he shakes his head.
