-The Sweetest Contempt, Chapter 58, by yeonnieong

ONG RAEYEON

After the upsetting news back in the auditorium, everyone was sent back to their classes, told to pack up their belongings as today was not a perfect day, in order to respect and mourn towards their schoolmates' mysterious death.

Raeyeon stayed for a while though, having to consult Woojin who was beside her, seemingly still wrecked due to the sudden disaster with vampires, scribbling and doodling stuff on her geography notebook since he didn't feel like talking.

"Park Woojin, dare to ignore my generous attempt on comforting you again then we're friends no more." Raeyeon warned, after about 10 times giving him long lectures that he shouldn't blame what happened on himself.

Woojin glanced at her, for once, away from his scribbles, but then continued right after as if he was signalling Raeyeon that she caused his heck of an annoying silence. He looked like a sulky child who got his mother's phone taken away from him.

This child, really.

The girl scoffed, slinging her bag on her shoulder. "I'm going home since somebody, who unfortunately happens to be my only friend, doesn't want to talk to me." she said, hinting sarcasm. "return that innocent notebook you're torturing with lead Mr. Park."

"Don't you have a new friend?" Woojin asked after standing up with her. He backfired a scoff. "and he's also a vampire." he mumbled.

Raeyeon furrowed her eyebrows at what the vampire is trying to imply. "Eh? Daniel? Well, we aren't as close as-"

"Oh! Your name is Kang Daniel am I right?" Woojin started mimicking her voice overly high-pitched, his lips puckered, his gestures showing feminine moves that Raeyeon had never shown to him but Daniel, back in the auditorium, covering laughs with his palm. "I'vE hEaRD oF yOu, you're prEttY pOPuLar since you're in the dANcE cLuB aHaHaHa wah~ it's nice to talk to you senior." he rolled his eyes afterwards.

The look of disbelief on Raeyeon was priceless, as she watched this petulant vampire whine about another vampire, until it was replaced with utter mischief. "Oho~ is someone jealous?" she bubbled, a sly smile plastered on her face, surprising Woojin as he retreated back his composure. "Look at you. Gah, and I thought you were drown in guilt because of what happened. Nevertheless, it's good you take in my lectures."

"D-Don't flatter yourself. How am I jealous? Pssh nah I have other friends I can hang out and ditch you with." Woojin denied, returning her smirk.

Raeyeon flipped her hair as she turned around. "Oh okay then I guess since I have Daniel sunbae-nim as my new friend I'd be fine." she fired, skipping away to add up to the tease. "see ya later ex amigo."
