-Chapter 51, The Sweetest Contempt, by yeonnieong

ONG RAEYEON

Students were packed near their assigned buses, sad that they were getting ready to leave as if they had so much fun here, unlike the vampires and Raeyeon, who had to face the sudden attack, plus the random witch that teleported her to another dimension yesterday. It was insane. Insanely too much to comprehend.

They were all getting their bags or luggage on board, one by one, waiting for their turn.

Raeyeon wobbled out of her tent, her head pounding heard ever since she woke up. She limped her way towards the bus, reluctantly throwing her huge backpack in the bus's compartment, shaking her head as she tried to prevent herself from fainting on the spot.

"Raeyeon, are you okay?" Seonmi questioned, her arm supporting Raeyeon.

Raeyeon nodded, her lips forming into a crooked smile. "Thank you."

Seonmi rolled her eyes, "You're obviously not. I could tell you're about to puke anytime soon. The bus ride would only make it worse, trust me." she said, rummaging through her backpack, taking out a bottle of pills. "Here! I brought these just in case I get sick. Maybe it could help. I can tell the nurse that you're sick so she could take care of you during the ride back to school."

"It's alright. I could manage-" before Raeyeon could finish her sentence, Seonmi popped a pill into her mouth, shoving a newly opened water bottle in front of her.

Raeyeon didn't have any choice but to accept it as the bitterness of the pill started evading her tongue, a scrunch forming on her face. She gulped down the liquid in a hurry, "God, thanks." she said.

"Don't mention it." Seonmi replied with a thumbs up. "Ah, by the way, don't mind Nara." she said, her eyes trailing towards the mentioned lass who was obviously glaring at Raeyeon. "I assure you her glares won't last long."

"You know what happened?" Raeyeon asked, flustered.

"Every girl in our class knows, she whined to everyone about it." at that, Raeyeon almost collapsed. "apparently, in the girl's dictionary, 'stealing' someone's crush is noted down as betrayal unless it is untold of. However, Nara wouldn't stand a chance without your help. So her contempt towards you won't last. And about the other girls, they don't really mind, so you won't have to worry about getting bullied about it or something."

Raeyeon fiddled with her fingers, uneasy. "I didn't mean to...I would explain what was going on, but no one would believe it. And I don't think I'm supposed to." her palm slapped her lips when she realized what she uttered. "Oh poodles-- please forget what I just said!"
