"I like you because you join in on my weirdness."

When Peter came too, he felt like he was floating. After being stressed out or beaten up for the past week solid, it was a strange feeling. He could've stayed like that all day. If it even was day. That made him open his eyes and break the spell. He was looking at a metal ceiling, laying flat on some sort of gurney.

Peter could hear people talking around him, but none of the voices were ones he recognized. Crap.

What happened? Where was he? Who were these people? He definitely remembered being tasered, but that didn't bring much relief.

"Hey, you awake?" Came one of the voices, and a young girl probably not much older than him leaned into his vision. "Um... mostly?" He coughed, sitting up. He looked around in foggy confusion.

Ok, good news; he had pants on. Bad news; his suit was gone. Peter's spidey sense rang painfully and he glared at the people gathered around him.

"Who are you, where am I, where's my suit?" Peter rapid-fired. The man stepped forwards calmly. "What if we exchange this information." He began in a really cool accent. "I will tell you who I am if you tell me who you are." Peter nodded, that sounded reasonable.

"My name is T'Challa. I am the King of Wakanda, which is where you find yourself now. Your suit is fine, it is being repaired. Now you tell me, who you are, how you got here, and where you are from." T'Challa leveled Peter with a gaze that made him feel very young and small. Refusing to give in, he raised his chin.

"My name's Peter... I'm Spiderman. No use hiding that now since you saw me in the suit fall from the sky. I managed that when I bust out of the helicopter trying to take me who-knows-where. I was falling, I honestly had no idea I would fall into a super cool city. I'm from Queens, New York." Peter finished, nodding and crossing his arms over his bare chest.

"You are Spiderman!" The young girl from before squeaked. She was grinning ear to ear when he turned to her and stuck out a hand. "I'm Shuri!" She announced, and T'Challa looked unimpressed with her eagerness to reveal her identity. Peter, on the other hand, quickly accepted her hand with a shake. He then blinked at... the king of... Wakanda.

"Wait, you-you're that guy! From the airport! The batman guy!" Peter announced excitedly, and Okoye bit back a laugh, Nakia raising an eyebrow at the unimpressed King. "Black Panther, actually." T'Challa corrected, and Peter's eyes went wide.

"O-oh, I'm sorry Mr. Panther, your highness, sir." He sputtered, and both Okoye and Shuri burst into laughter, making Peter turn beat red. Okoye straightened first and clapped Peter on his shoulder. "I like you!" She announced, leaning down and winking. "Sorry for tasering you earlier." He blinked, unsure what to say, unfamiliar if there were any customs he would vialate by being sarcastic.

"I will be contacting Tony Stark about your whereabouts shortly." T'Challa announced, nodding at Nakia, who flicked her bracelet. Peter watched in wonder as one bead rolled onto her palm and came to life with a contact list of all things.

"Woah, what's that?" He asked outloud. "A wireless interface? Is it connected to some sort of mainframe? What is that, CCL?" He looked around the room, only to find Shuri grinning and bouncing excitedly.

"I was really hoping you were smart!" She announced, pulling Peter off the strange gurney thing. "You have to come see my lab!"

"Wait, you built those?" Peter gestured to the bracelets as she dragged him away, T'Challa shaking his head in sympathy. "And so much more!" Shuri revealed proudly. Peter's face lit up. "So. Awesome."

oOo

"No, we did not lose him!" Tony yelled into the comms, seeing the crashing helicopter on the shores of Africa. There was only rubble left. Whether it was a false lead placed by HYDRA or a falty move from the pilot, Tony didn't care. He flew down to that rubble and began mercilessly tearing it apart.

"What did you find?" Wanda asked through the comms, and Tony only stopped long enough to formulate a response. "The helicopter. Crashed not far from Zimbabwee." He explained curtly. "On our way." Natasha announced, the sentiment echoing from the rest of the Avengers.

"No! What if it was a false lead? What if they... they got him back to their... base? In russia or germany?" Tony's brain was racing now, his metal coated hands still shredding the debris. "They could be interrogating him or experimenting on him, our boy, right now!" He couldn't imagine anything worse than their Peter strapped to one of those metal tables with all sorts of tubes taking his mutated blood straight from his veins. The fear that would be on his face, the screaming that would be in that room, his screams...

"We have to find him." That was Steve; apparently having the same thought process that had nearly lead to a panic attack for Tony. He was staring at the smoking debris, FRIDAY warning him about heart rate and stressors. He swallowed, blessedly distracted from his own thoughts by a call from... Black Panther?

"What's up?" He answered absently, T'Challa's face appearing in the bottom right of his screen. The man was smirking, and Tony would've been infuriated had he the heart to notice. "I may... have something of yours." The King grinned. Tony glared at him, not in the mood for games. "What is it? Did i missplace a reactor or something? Blame Happy."

"I do not know who Happy is." T'Challa told him. "But I think it would be worth your time to drop what you are doing and come to Wakanda."

"I'm looking for someone very important, actually." Tony bit back, but T'Challa - that sarcastic cat - only grinned. "I know." And he disconnected his call. That was when it clicked. Crashed helicopter over Africa. T'Challa calling with something of his.

"Guys, I know where Peter is." Tony announced, shooting into the air. The crash hadn't been the fault of the pilot - it had been the product of a break out. Oh his wonderful, resourceful boy.

I'm coming, Pete.
