Young Caroline pov

My mom she's sick so sick I don't think she'll make it. She's been sick for a while my big brother Eden says she's been sick evert since she gave birth to me. My father he is mean to me Eden says he's been like this since I was born. Seems like everything is my fault these days. I was taking care of my mother but my father he thinks of me as only a mean to an end my brother is 22 so he lives somewhere else.

" You... You should be looking after me " my mum was mumbling " your dad will get... Upset "

" I don't care about dad Eden will be here soon he can help too " I put a cold rag over her forehead. She has a bad temperature.

" Listen to me look you know I might not make it out of this illness... Alive " she mumbled

" Don't speak like that you will mama I promise you you will " I smiled

" Hey " Eden came through the doorway

" Brother " I hugged him

He came up the stairs fuming with anger. I hate him so much.

" I said clean you worthless space of air " he dragged me out to the front lawn and hit me. It's not the first time he has hit me and it won't be the last.

" Father stop " Eden tried to stop him but he threw him back. He hit me again countless times I bled a little.

" Hey sir stop your hurting her! " a young boy came and step in with his older brother by his side.

" Boy your naive and young she's trash the world will live without her " he was about to hit her

" She is a child " the older brother stepped up " let her go "

" No I would be happy to throw her away " he muttered.

" Then let her " the young boy yelled

" Brother " Elijah tried to speak but the younger one wasn't having any of it

" Let her stay with our family we stay right across the other village and we know what you are " he said

My father stood closer to him

" How do you know? " He muttered

" Our village has many secrets when that girl first kills she will be a werewolf we can take her " the older brother replied but I didn't hear nothing

" Fine take her " he went back inside and Eden came out.

" Eden... Eden I dont want to go I want to stay here mom needs me " I told him

" I will take care of mom you... You need to run you need to run away as far as you can from this place. From father. " tears ran down his face and they did on mine.

" Just go Caroline you deserve a life so much more better " He told me.

" I'll take care of you " the young boy knelt down to me although he did looks like two years older than me.

" My name is niklaus, niklaus Michaelson and this is my brother Elijah " he introduced himself

" My name is Caroline, Caroline Forbes " I introduced

" Welcome to our family " niklaus smiled at me.

They took me to this next village it was much better than ours. They took me to where they called home.

" Before you meet our father say you were from this village " he told me and I nodded my head

" Father " Elijah called for my new father apparently.

A Viking came out my father told me stories about them he said they were horrible not even humanly and I took one step back but then Nik took me forward.

" It's ok he won't hurt you " he whispered in my ear

" Father this is Caroline we saved her and we was hoping to she could live with us " Elijah told his father

" Boys go girl stay " he ordered and they left. And I was left scared.

" Where are you from girl? " He asked

I stood straight and stood confident which he saw I was doing

" Im not from around her I live a couple of villages away from here I was very lucky your brother's found me " I told him.

" You look like my daughter " he smiled
