Caroline pov

We got into their clothes and our new Allie Lucien taught us how to act around a king and what to say to him. To be honest he sounds worser than Michael. He's dirty and cruel and he drinks alot but if it means my family is safe and happy don't care. it was by night we got there another couple of hours then it will be the next day which I can pretend this horrible day doesn't exist. We got out of the carriage and we entered the ball room where the king sat and I got nervous my hands were shaking and Nik held them.

" Your going to be fine Caroline don't worry and just know that you look beautiful " my hands slowly stopped shaking and I could breathe

" Count may i introduce lady Caroline " and now it was my turn to meet him I knelt down and he looked down even further it looks like which made me hate him even more but I just replied with a smile.

There was beautiful gathering and me and Klaus decided to speak to Lucien as both of us found his help weird

" Lucien " I smiled

" You've proven to be an amnence help though I do wonder why you don't feel bad that your letting us into your master's home " Nik asked

" my master is a cruel and drunken fool who torments people and his minions like myself and my father who died because of his well being. These filfthy and greedy people who have jeweles pearls they are no eviler than whatever you and your family are. " He told us

" I'm sorry for you " I told him and he nodded

Then 2 people bout the same age of Nik came out if the sorts and everyone was cheering. There was a boy and a girl the boy did look really handsome.

" Who are they " I asked

" This is count's daughter and son lord Tristen the lovely lady aurora " he introduced them. He was warning me and Nik to not to go near them but I think I can siesk for both of us were was more interested in them. Me with Tristen and Klaus was more interested in aurora. For a second Tristen stared at me and smiled. He is so cute.

It was near an end to the gathering, me and Nik was laughing and drinking.

" Excuse me " Tristen cane in to our chat " I would like to introduce myself my name is Tristen "

" It's a pleasure my lord " I curtseyed

" The pleasure is all mine " he smiled " what is your name "

" Caroline " i told him

" What a beautiful name you have " he complimented me. I really am starting to like him but all I can thinking about is draining his blood. I haven't controlled my bloodlust yet. I could sense Nik smirking behind me.

" Nik would you mind I would like to have a moment with lord Tristen " I asked him while smiling

" Not at all happy birthday Caroline " he told me and then walked off.

" It is your birthday " he asked me

" Yes my lord " I nodded

" Please, Tristen " he smiled " would you like to take a walk with me by the fountains there omost as beautiful as you. " He  put his hand on my cheek

" Yes I would love too " I said he was leading me out and I was out I saw Klaus going up to aurora.

We were walking by the fountains and they were so beautiful

" I do not know how you could say such a thing these fountains are beautiful " I looked at him

" You do not see what I see when I look at you " we stopped

" And what do you see Tristen " I asked with a small smile

" I see a girl who has lost so much and is looking to find a life out here anywhere in this world with those five people you call family in there. Am I wrong? " He asked me

" No you are not  " I looked down and decides to look at the fountain. Then I took one look of the fountain and Tristen kissed me. I stopped to breathe and I smiled so did he.
Things were looking up.
