Who can sleep when the stars are out? This is when you can touch the magic of the night.

The wind sings them a song, as the leaves dance above their heads,

They reach up towards the stars, wanting to consume their glow

If light could be felt, in this moment, it would radiate warmth along their finger tips,

'Do you feel that?' The girl whispers to the boy, whose eyes are glazed with wonder,"

He turns to meet her excited gaze, and he swears the stars have never looked as luminous,

Than in the two pools of forest green, staring back at him.

The two wanderlust lovers joined the many others before them, in an ageless, undeclared tradition,

Their hands, and their hearts, met halfway, creating an unforged seal between the two, wide eyed teens.

And they simply danced,

Under the eyes of the universe, with only the moon's elegant song guiding them.

They thrived as nocturnal beings, unafraid of the mysteries of nightfall.

When they stared back at the starry sky, they felt at ease, if just for this night,

And then the stars blinked, and they wished the night could be infinite.

And then the stars blinked, and they wished the night could be infinite
