Tonight is our last night to live in the moment.
The moonlight will vanish, as will the city lights,
dimming as the fiery sun rises over the uncertain horizon.
Our adventure will fade, as will the glow from our eyes.
Unravel your selfish self,
just for a moment.
Whisper your wishes to the sky,
the stars are listening.
Evaporate your lungs with screams of pure melancholy.
Let the universe hear your silenced voice,
and become part in your awakening.
Our fates are intertwined,
just for a moment.
Doomed to be alone.
Or destined to be found,
just for a moment.
Abandoned bodies with shattered hearts and aching bones.
Erased from existence by the ones we held close.
Finding comfort in each others pained souls,
just for a moment.
Impede this night from saying goodbye.
Freeze this moment in time,
and don't let those hazel eyes cry.
Cause we feel wanted,
just for a moment.
The darkness is not so frightening,
when your youthful laughter lights up a new pathway.
00:00 am is our call to embrace,
who we were yesterday, and who we will be,
for the rest of our days.
00:01 am, we are still breathing
just for a moment.
