Spacious, luxurious and lavish, these are the words that you'd use to describe this ballroom you're in.

Breath-taking, lovely, handsome, stunning, endearing and passionate that's how you'd describe the young prince.

As much as you'd prefer it not to be true, you had fallen for the young prince... A person you can never have, people like you just simply do not belong with people like him.

But people like her.... You couldn't help but think, that the young prince and her were a match made in heaven, a small sad, bitter smile graced your face as you watched them.

His hands firmly on her waist, her palms resting on his shoulders as they danced around they danced around the ball room while murmurs of the perfection they were flew around the room.

Her blonde hair was tied up in an elegant bun, her dress a lavish blue to match her enchanting eyes, glass slippers fitted perfectly on her feet... She was perfection, her skin a smooth white porcelain, her figure slender.. Her feauters soft, how could you ever compete with that? No wonder the once bored prince had asked her to dance.

You sighed, after all it was time you learned your place.. You were nothing but a mere servant, a maid in this luxurious palace, you could do nothing but be grateful that you even got the chance to watch him like this; silently from afar.

After a while of dancing around the prince retreated with the lady into the garden, no one but you knew to where the prince had disappeared, after all, you had been watching him silently from afar.

The night went on as you went back to your job serving the guests, your eyes every now and then wandering back to the place of which the prince took his leave.

It was midnight when that fair young maiden you couldn't help but envy ran into the ballroom and out followed by the young prince who was yelling for her to wait, and as she disappeared into the night, the ball was called off.

The very next morning you heard the news of how the prince wished to marry her and was determined to find her, and though you had always known that you never had a chance... your heart broke, then shattered to a billion pieces, those shattered pieces stepped on then burned until all what was left of your heart was ash. That was how you felt.

The girl was soon found, and you wished she had been a bitch so you could hate her, but with all the kindness she displayed.. It was impossible for you to even distaste her... You could see what he what Ibuki Munemasa saw in her.

You had no more work and were walking in the gardens when she approached you, and as a well-behaved maid you bowed to your future queen "your highness".

"I would much prefer it if you called me by my name" She said giving you one of her warm smiles.

"Your name?" You asked surprised with your eyes slightly widening.

"Yes, my name, please do call me Cinderella"

Your eyes widened even more at that "H-How could I-I your highness? I'm in no place to call you by your name, I am no other than a mere maid" you said.

"No other than a mere maid? You're so much more, whether you're a noble or a slave, we're all still human, we were born, and we will die, no matter what life we live in between or what position we are in, we're in the end of the day all the same, we feel hungry and thirsty, we expirince sadness and happiness, we laugh and cry, and most importantly in the end of the day we all sleep the same. "

You smiled sadly at that, it had only then dawned to you that she was perfect for him maybe it was time for you to let go "You'd make a great Queen, Your highne-- Cinderella" you were quick to correct yourself as you had called her what she wanted.

You were surprised as she gave a bitter smile "But I don't want to be the queen.."

"Y-You don't?" you manged to stutter out as she shook her head.

"not at all, I do know that the prince loves me... but I do not return those feelings.. Heck I'm not even into men.." she chuckled bitterly as she let you on into her secret.

"Y-You what?" you couldn't believe your ears any longer.

"Go ahead, give me that infamous disgusted look" Cinderella gave a sad smile before trailing her eyes to the ground.

"I'm not one to judge, Cinderella.. after all, love is love" you smiled lightly as she lifted her head to look at you surprised.

Though your conversation was cut short as the both of you heard the clashing of swords, confused you both speedily made your way to the source of the sound though your worries washed away as you saw the prince practicing with a knight, apparently he thought it would be a good idea to practice in the garden for the day to your dismay-- no, rather, to your heartache.

You watched the prince's graceful moves reminding yourself that he could never be yours, a chuckle broke you out of your trance.

"I see... You Love him don't you? Then please.. Take care of him for me, he might appear to be harsh however he really is but a kind soul"

"Shouldn't I be the one requesting you to care for him.. After all your his to-be wife" you trailed off confused.

"I'm leaving" she shortly responded "I am not caging my happiness no more" and it was then that you wished you had her courage.

"You're leaving?" A pained voice sounded from afar.

Your eyes widened, You and Cinderella were too deep into your conversation that you hadn't noticed him approaching "Y-Your highness" you stuttered out startled.

His eyes remained fixed on Cinderella as you called him however, he seemed to refuse to acknowledge you, which seemed understandable with his crushed heart.

The blonde merely nodded "I'm sorry, but I do not feel for you the way you do for me" she regarded him with sad eyes "However you might not know, but I think you've neglected enough the heart that feels for you deeply, crushing it a million times the way yours is now"

He looked at her confused "what do you mean?" he asked in utter confusion.

"this young lady" she pointed at you surprising you "has been feeling for you deeply, watching you silently from afar, and now is sacrificing her own never-achived happiness for yours"

Those words made both your eyes and the prince's widen... She was so kind, and now she was doing this for you..

"Treat her well, Munemasa" She then turned to you "Please do take care of him" and with those words she walked away.

"So, You love me?" Ibuki turned to you questionably.

You shyly nodded "Though, your highness, you don't have to do anything... Or answer to my feelings now - or ever, as I understand that your heart is crushed as of now"

With those words you spoke, his violet eyes looked at you thoughtfully before saying "I promise, that one day.. After this heavy feeling is over, I'll treat you well, and cherish you the way you did all the while" he said knowing that he could keep true to his words, that is because your thoughtfulness of his heart and the current situation made him sure that now that he noticed you, he'd fall for you in the near future.
