Emotions often confused Alpha, that was before he met Mika though, Now he understood emotions pretty well and that was all thanks to his writer friend.

They were both hesitant when it came to showing emotions, however due to the understanding the two shared they seemed to melt around one another.

'The little writer' as Alpha liked to refer to her was the only one able to explain the concept of emotions, why and how we felt them without causing Alpha even more confusion. The male didn't know to attribute it to her gifted writing or the similarities in their personalities, either way he was grateful.

"Alpha~" a whine sounded, the male lifted his head to look up at the source; which sat across the table.

"Stop drifting of to dream land and listen to me," Mika huffed frustratedly, this was the third time she was repeating her 780-word-some story.

"Sorry," the male gave a small smile apologising sheepishly. And though if asked, with his understanding of emotions Alpha wouldn't have saw a need to apologies and that is because, as his little writer tended to state, not only verbally but in her stories as well, falling in love was not a fault. Alpha couldn't help but hopelessly do so.

His mind drifted once again and this time his head was smacked with the girl's text book. "Is my story really that boring?" She asked accusingly, undertones of threat in her voice.

Alpha, snapping out of his daze for the forth time that day looked up at her with wide terror-filled eyes. He made the mistake of shaking his head too quickly to which she glared before walking away.

Idiot, Mika thought, and though Mika seemed threatening earlier it really hurt her that her story couldn't keep his attention for more than a second. What was even worse? She was actually proud of this one, and not only that, she had used this story to pour her feelings of love out (Which she was sure we're unrequited).

Meanwhile, Alpha sighed looking after the door in which the girl disappeared, one little thought crossed his mind, I fucked up. He inwardly winced at the curse.

After all the children in El Dorado were excused to their rooms, or to do whatever they wished. Alpha did the latter and looked for Mika.

"Mika," he addressed the girl his voice even as usual.

The girl (who had been retreating to her room) turned around, and upon spotting Alpha slouched her shoulders, though her face remained unexpressive, "What?" She asked her voice just as even.

"You've been avoiding me," He stated leaving no room for argument.

Mika, hating lies and always preferring honesty even if it was harsh simply nodded her head as the word which was all to familiar to Alpha escaped her lips, "Yes."

"Why so?" He asked the girl bluntly. Then watched in amusement as her cheeks transitioned between different shades of red.

"Um well..." she fumbled around with her fingers. Alpha stayed silent to give her enough space to comfortably talk.

"I was.. hurt..? Because you didn't pay attention to my writing... So I thought it surely was boring... and.. I, used the writing to pour some feelings out." Shyness was a very unusual trait for Mika to portray.

"Forgive me, I was simply occupied in my own thoughts," he began, apologising before offering, "But if you will, I'd like to take a look at it tonight." With that Alpha extended his hand.

Mika nodded, her eyes seeming to flash in excitement as she disregarded her bag on the floor before bending down and shuffling through it to look for her writing notebook.

Alpha waited; for a moment felt guilty as he knew that writings were something personal to an author, and for her to be willing to share them... it must signify major trust. He felt guilty to have taken that for granted then again reminded himself that falling in love was no fault.

"Here!" She brought the raised the notebook up as if achieving a great feat, and maybe she did considering her messy bag, it was as messy as Mika was organised (in things other than her bag). Very.

Alpha nodded taking the notebook then offered his thanks. He walked away with the night Mika's smile following him until his back disappeared.

That night Mika slept content and Alpha read.

"I really liked the wording, it was almost poetic. Though I admit my understanding of poetry is rather limited," Alpha spoke as he yet again sat across from the girl, returning her book.

Mika nodded as she recived it, then shoved it in her bag, "How about the plot?"

"Intriguing, managed to have me dream about it." A little smirk hid behind his statement as Mika obviously brightened up, obviously to Alpha at least as the girl was reserved in her emotions almost as much as Alpha was.

Mika bounced back a little when Alpha leaned in, then she realised that he did so so he could whisper.

"Who is it that you're in love with?" Alpha asked masking the shatter of his heart, and if he were a part of Mika's stories he would've heard it with the writer's angsty description of it.

Mika, again not very fond of lies but rather fond of truths raised a finger, due to the nagging fear she was unable to talk but that won't stop her from answering. She placed the finger right above what he had previously declared his shattered heart.

Said shattered heart seemed to somehow magically mend together as a rare smile made it's way to Alpha's face. The boy leaned in even further, deciding that a kiss to the lips was too intimate for this moment, he settled with a kiss to the forehead.

"The feeling is very much mutual," he had mumurmured before attaching his lips to the skin.

"Hey!" Gamma yelled a few tables over, "get a room you two!"

A shriek could be heard as beta hit the boy with a chair. Alpha and Mika leaned back in their chairs and both let out a scarce laugh.
