When Hope was finally a good distance away from Lucas, she opened the cupboard, dismayed to find it empty. She would have to go on another... trip. She looked outside to find that it was dusk. She would go this night.

When night finally came, Hope changed into dark clothes and ran outside. She quickly found a small fruit stand with a man standing next to it. He looked exhausted. The fruit was nearly rotten, but it would have to do.

Quickly as she possibly could, she knocked the man out with a good-sized rock to the head. The man didn't even have time to react. Then, she filled her baggy black clothes with the fruit. However, she wasn't ready to go out yet.

Hope headed to the black market with her wares. There, she traded them for all sorts of canned food. The people at the black market didn't care where trading goods came from, and the black market was open at all hours.

At around midnight, Hope headed home with her haul of canned fruits and vegetables.

"How was your job today?" asked a worried Nia when she opened the door.

"Good." Hope shrugged and gave Nia her bag of food.

Nia didn't suspect a thing.
