Chapter 11

Toby and Lilly ran into the dark room and locked the door behind them; the room had a foul odor; Lilly gagged as Toby covered his mouth with his arm "Find a light, Toby." Lilly begged as her eyes watered from the stench coming from who knows where? As Toby turned the light on, his eyes widened in horror; rows of shelves were human brains and mutilated corpses from Amy and Beth's experiments; Toby's eyes glistened with tears as he began to look for the source of the smell "Toby are you ok?" Lilly asked Toby as she walked over to him and saw the horror for herself and fell to her knees and began to cry "What...who would do this?" She sobbed as her eyes widened as she saw a skull in a jar looking back at her with empty eye sockets and Toby looked at her grimly and put his arm around her as a way to comfort her "This..this isn't right." Lilly whispered as she looked away from the skull and closed her eyes "I know, Lilly, but we're getting out of here." Toby reassured Lilly as he hugged her "Maybe they're right; maybe my parents did  give me up; who'd want me?" Lilly whimpered as tears poured down her face as she picked up an old blanket and dropped it fast and gasped in horror "What was it?" Toby asked curiously lifting up the sheet and looked at the remnants of a human body "Jesus Christ." Toby whispered as he looked at the maggot infested corpse and covered it with the blood stained sheet once again "This must be the "morgue"." Lilly whimpered as she picked up rusty and blood stained tools and looked at the bloody autopsy table "This is scary." Toby said with a nervous tome in his voice as Lilly laid down on the table and held a rusty scalpel "Lilly; Lilly, what the hell are you doing?" Toby asked as she looked at him, her eyes soulless and hollow "Leave me here; I want to die alone in here." Lilly whimpered, Toby gently grabbed the scalpel away from her and picked her up "We have to leave." Lilly cried as Toby gently helped her up and took her away from the body "We are; we just have to find a way out of this room." Toby replied as she hugged him tightly and avoided staring at the corpse lying in front of her and looked at the metal blood stained door "Are we locked in?" Lilly asked, her eyes beginning to fill with determination and grabbed a surgical instrument and ran towards the door "Lilly! What the hell are you doing?!" Toby yelled, making Lilly look back and smile at him, making him walk towards her "I'm getting the hell out; dunno 'bout you." Lilly whispered, Toby looking at her in confusion "We can't get out though, there's no way." Toby replied, looking around for another exit "Toby, quit screwing around and help me; do you want to die in here?" Lilly cried out as she jabbed The blunt end of the object into the keyhole of the morgue's rusted door and it wouldn't budge open, causing Lilly to growl in frustration and repeatedly began to stab the keyhole "Damn it! Open!! Open, you piece of-" Lilly yelled as the door finally opened to reveal the dark hallway "Toby! Let's go!" Lilly yelled as she grabbed Toby and ran "Lilly! How'd you open the door?" Toby whispered as she looked at him and smiled "I have my ways." Lilly smirked,  making Toby looked at her in confusion as they walked down the corridor to freedom
