29 | Remember the Titans [ Hurting ]

THEY STOOD IN SILENCE at the abandoned garage as Dean threw a lit match to the bowl full of ingredients and placed it in a trap. They were going to summon Zeus. "Stay calm."

Hailey pulled Oliver closer to her grasp when the lights flickered, thunder boomed throughout the whole garage. Lightning crashed on one spot, it emitted blue light, and a old man, around his 60's, appeared, and he looked underneath him. He was trapped on a spray-painted symbol on the floor.

Zeus looked over to them, and a mocking smile made its way to his lips, "oh, come now. Can't we do this civilized?"

Clarissa smirked, "well, it depends on you. All we need is to break a curse you put on little kid." He glanced at Oliver as Hailey pulled him back, "so how about you say 'yes', and we all go home?"

"Nice to see you again, Prometheus." Zeus drawled, "all cleaned up. I've been looking for you."

"It's gone too far, Zeus. Break the curse."

"It's your child who has the affliction." He hungrily stared at Oliver who visibly gulped, "interesting."

"So what's it gonna be, Zeus? The easy way or we could do this the hard way."
Dean walked closer to Zeus, showing him the wood in his hands.

"Break the trap, dear man, and I'll break the curse."

"No dice. Fix the kid."

"Going once."

Dean shook his head, "Don't be that guy."

"Going twice."

"Hey, you can rot here for all I care."

"Yes, and the child will continue to suffer." Zeus retaliated.

Dean stared at Zeus for a few moments with an almost-carefree expression.

Dean faced his back on Zeus and proceeded to walk out of the garage. Sam and Clarissa complied, so did Shane—a part of their plan. Meanwhile, Hailey was glued to her spot, still holding Oliver tightly.

Zeus took advantage of her baffled state and smiled smugly, "he needs me, and you know it."

Hailey quickly smudged a part of the spray painted trap with her foot and brought Oliver to Zeus, "now save my son!"

Clarissa looked back, and when she realised the situation, her eyes widened, "NO! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!"

Zeus stepped out of trap slowly, as if mockingly.  His smirk reached ear to ear, "what do you say?"

The trio ran over, but he stomped on the ground, lightening bolts surging through it, and the four was sent flying back. They all rolled to the ground from the impact and groaned.

"Shall we try this the hard way?"

"Bring forth the child. Please."

Zeus' back faced the trio, so he couldn't see them exchanging glances. They silently lifted themselves from the floor and crept behind him. Dean raised the wood when they were yanked back by an unknown force. Their backs were now backed up on a pillar, and they couldn't move, considering the power binding them to their spot.
