Chapter 13

Leo's POV

I meet Dani at the Training Arena after lunch

"Hey, Valentine" I smile

She blushes, and smiles.

"Hi, Leo, is there anything else I need training on?" she laughs," Because I'm pretty awesome"

"Sure...." I laugh

She giggles

"Have you been to fireworks beach yet?" I ask hopefully she hasn't

"No" she smiles widely

"Let's go" I say and starts walking, and she follows next to me.

I hold her hand, and I see her blush

She's really pretty, with her curly dirty blond hair, and rosy cheeks.

We arrive at the beach.

"Here we are" I say

Dani runs pulling me towards the water.

She runs through the water, laughing, and I follow her.

I push her in the water, and she pulls me down with her.

Dani laughs.

We end up laying on the sand.

"This is fun" she giggles, she leans over and kisses me

She blushes again.

"I really like you, and I'd like it if you were my girlfriend" I announce

"Gods, I thought you'd never ask!" she exclaims

Dani gets up, and brushes sand of her shorts

I walk her back to her cabin, and she kisses me on the cheek, and walks inside.

Dani's POV

I'm floating on a cloud.

So much can change in 4 days.

Leo Valdez is my boyfriend.

"Piper!" I squeal

Piper and all my sisters even some brothers come up to me

"So Leo and I went to the beach, and I kissed him, annnnnnd now I'm his girlfriend" I explain.

Everyone screams even Piper.

I laugh,

"Oh you and Leo would make such a CUTE couple" Emily one of my sisters says

"Lani or Deo?" She says

"Please no ship name" I frown.

"I'm stitching it on a pillow" Emily yells.

I walk outside, and go to the Training Arena

I grab some knives, and throw them at a dummy

Jason walks in," I guess I taught you well"

"You did" I say

"So you like it here at camp?" he asks

"I really love it" I answer," Jason have you ever been apart of a prophecy?"

"Yeah, a really big one too" he smiles weakly

"Oh, I think I might be" I frown

"Really why?" Jason asks

"Because I had a dream, where I saw my dad get killed, and there was this man and he refered to me as the girl of prophecy." I explain

Jason wraps me in his arms," If I can survive my prophecy so can you"

"Thanks that cheered me up" I say sarcastically

He laughs.

I go to my cabin, and grab my camp shirt

"Does anyone have a sewing kit?" I ask

My brother hands me a black shiny box," Everything to fill your sewing dreams is in there"

I open it up, and grab some scissors.

I use a pencil, and draw a new hemline on the shirt.

I cut out the new hemline, and smile at my handy work.

"I like it" Drew says approvingly

"Thanks"

She sits down on my bunk next to me.

I plaster a fake smile on my face.

"So,Dani, we haven't really gotten to know each other" she starts

"Yeah I know" I pretend to be engaged in our conversation

"So I know you and Leo are a thing now" she winks," Well are you gonna break his heart or be like Piper and Silena?"

"What? I wouldn't break his heart" I say disagree," and who's Silena"

"Hmm well you don't want your rite of passage do you?"

"Not if I have to make him fall in love with me then break his heart!"

"I guess you'll end up like Silena" she glares," Dead."

I walk out of the cabin, and go to the beach

I sit down on the warm sand.

I stare at the bright blue ocean

I hear footsteps behind me, I turn around and see Leo.

"You" I smile

"In the flesh" he smiles

Leo sits down next to me.

"So Leo, what would you do if I broke your heart?" I ask softly

"I'd be heartbroken, you're not going to do that right?"

"Leo, of course not!" I lean in and kiss him

I wrap my arms around his neck, and he puts his hands on my waist.

I break away, and put my head on his shoulder.

"I shouldn't have said that" I shake my head

"It's okay" Leo says

Then suddenly he picks me up bridal style, and starts running towards the square of cabins

He drops me on the ground.

"Umm" I start

Suddenly a water ballon hits me in he face.

I stare hard at Leo," That was a mistake"

He throws another water balloon at me.

I scream and laugh at the same time.

Campers emerge from their cabins, each head camper holding a bucket of water balloons.

Piper throws me a couple, and I throw them at Leo's head.

He laughs loudly.

Water balloons are flying through the air

After the water balloon fight is over I ask Leo," Who did this?"

"Me" he replies," And Jason"

"Why?" I smile slightly

"To make you feel better. Jason told me you were feeling down" Leo smiles

I wrap my arms around him," You're my favorite Hispanic Christmas elf"

"And your my favorite beautiful blond katniss" he says kissing my cheek.

Everything in this moment was perfect
