Dani's POV
I breath deeply, that was a lot to take in
"Thank you, Hestia, I think we'll be going now"
"I will bless your travels, so that you may return the Pithos safely" Hestia nods
We walk out the garden.
"How the Hades do we get to California?!" I ask
"I know a way" Selena smirks
She pulls a drachma out of her pocket.
"Stop Chariot of Damnation!" Selena chants.
She drops the drachma on the ground and it melts into the ground.
Seconds later a gray chariot forms out of smoke.
"Hop in" Selena says opening the door.
"Nope" I protest
"Come on," Leo says
"It formed out smoke, it can't be solid" I argue.
Leo taps the hood of the car," It's solid"
"Fine" I grumble, and slide in next to Selena.
There are Three women with grey skin, long coarse grey hair. They have empty eye sockets,except for one who has one eye.
"Oh my gods!" I gasp in shock
"Where are you going?" one of them asks
"California please, San Francisco" I mutter
"That'll be 10 drachmas" the second says
Selena pulls ten shiny drachmas out of her pocket, and hands them to the women
"If I could see i'd say these we're shiny" she cackles
"Anger, give me the eye, I'm driving" the one behind the wheel says
"Tempest, the eye is mine" the one who I assume is Anger says
Tempest slams onto the gas, and we jerk forward at 80 mph
We swerve side to side, banging into the sides of buildings
"We're gonna die!" I scream slamming into Leo crushing him against the car door
"I'm too hot to die!" he yells
Selena's eyes are closed as she holds on for dear life.
"GIVE ME THE EYE!" Tempest screams letting go of the wheel and claws at Anger.
"For the love of Hepheastus please grab the wheel!" Leo screams
I hear a dissatisfying squish, and see a small shiny ball fly through the air.
It lands in Selena's lap.
"Oh my gods!" she screams.
The car jerks back and forth, we almost crash about 10 times in 30 seconds,
"Give someone the eye!" I yell at her
"I'm not touching it!" she protests
"Neither am I!" Leo yells
"Babies" I mutter, and flick the eye to
the front seat with the back of my hand.
The third woman grabs the eye she pops it into place," Ahh it's great to see"
"Wasp, give me the eye!" Anger shouts
"No give me the eye" Tempest argues
Anger grabs the eye, and smashes into one socket
"Now we can continue smoothly" she says as we drive into a lake
"We're gonna die! I'm gonna die! I'm never gonna get married! I'm never gonna have a family! I'm never gonna be a world renowned psychologist! I'm never gonna be trilingual!" I scream quickly
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!!!" Selena screams.
As soon as we make contact with the water, we surface.
I see a long reddish orange bridge with fog rolling around it.
"San Francisco!" I smile widely
"It's nice" Selena says
"Is it just me or does anyone else realize we're on water?" Leo asks
Immediately the car speeds up and we go racing through the water.
The car jerks onto a pier, " Thank you for riding Grey Sisters Taxi Service, have a nice day" They say in a monotone voice
Wasp shoves us out of the cab, and it melts back into the shadows.
"So where do we start?" I ask
"Let's find that stupid manticore" Selena smirks
We start walking but Leo stops us," Look at that girl" he says gesturing to a short girl with brown hair.
"She's a half-blood" he whispers
