Chapter 25

Dani's POV

My sister, Lydia, bursts through the cabin doors.

"Chiron needs you" she says out of breath.

I nod, and jog to the Big House.

"You needed me?" I ask Chiron when I open the door.

"Yes, Selena told me all about your quest, and she that you pushed the Hesperides back with some type of force" Chiron says

"I don't understand" I shake my head

"I believe you're a descendent of Zeus" he says

"Is that even possible?" I smirk, not believing him.

"Frank Zhang, son of Mars, is a descendent of Poseidon. He possesses a family gift, of shape shifting." Chiron explains," I believe you posses a family gift too"

"What I did in the garden? What is that even called?" I ask. I just started to get used to this demigod thing, and now I have a whole new thing to get used too.

"I think you may have some control over wind, talk to Jason, he can help you master your abilities" Chiron says

I groan and nod, walking outside.

I run to the Hepheastus cabin.

Leo opens the door, "Hey, Dani!" he kisses my cheek

"I need to tell you something, but it's crazy"

"Believe me I know crazy," Leo laughs

He sits down on the front steps," Come on talk to Uncle Leo!" he pats next to him

I laugh, and sit down

"Chiron says I'm a descendent of Zeus, and that I may have the ability to control wind. Like in the garden" I explain

"Makes sense" Leo says simply, " That it?"

"Yea, that's not crazy to you?" I ask

"Not at all" he laughs," Come on we'll miss lunch" Leo gets up, and I take his hand pulling me up.

As we walk I can't help but think, descendent of Zeus, who could that have come from?

I sit down at my table, and eat my food.

Georgia smiles and runs over to me, "I love it here!" her grey eyes sparkle.

I see she's wearing a camp shirt that's about 5 sizes too big, but Georgia looks happy.

I smile, and watch her walk back to her table.

The Athena kids are in a deep conversation, probably discussing quantum physics or something.

Piper sits next to me, and puts an arm around my shoulder," I'm glad you're back."

"Me too" I smile not really paying attention to her

She talks some more, and I just agree," Yeah yeah"

"You just agreed that Frank looks good in speedos" Piper laughs

"Oh uhh" I blush

"Don't worry, you have ADHD, it happens" she shrugs

"It's not that, Chiron told me I'm a descendent of Zeus" I say taking a bite of a strawberry

"Whoa" Piper gasps," That's amazing, you and Jason are distant relatives"

"Aren't we all?" I ask confused

"Umm yes...." She looks over to Zeus's table," Let's get off that topic"

I sigh, and continue eating.

After lunch, I look for Jason.

I see his blond hair.

"Hey, Jason!" I call and wave accidentally summoning wind and knocking down a few campers.

"Sorry" I mutter

"Hi, Dani," he smiles

"So ,Jason,exciting news I'm a descendent of Zeus!" I say in mock excitement.

"Really!" Jason beams," That's so awesome!"

I laugh nervously," Chiron thinks I can control wind, can you help me" I ask

"Of course" Jason says, and we walk to an empty area.

"This way you can't break something" he chuckles

Jason stands in front of me, " You're going to knock me over"

"Umm okay, and how do I do that?"

"Close your eyes, and feel the wind then move your hand imagining where you want it to go" Jason says.

I do what he says.

I envision the wind pushing him backwards, feel the wind through my fingers, and push my arm forward.

Jason is pushed backwards, and hits the dirt.

"Nice job" he winks
