Dani's POV
Our perfect moment ended soon.
Chiron trots in the center of the cabins.
"I need Leo and Dani in the Big House. Now!" he booms
Leo and I slowly follow Chiron back to the Big House.
We sit down on a soft brown couch in front of his desk.
A girl with fiery red hair, freckles, and beautiful green eyes walks in holding a blue plastic hair brush.
"Hey, I'm Rachel Elizabeth Dare, I'm the camp's oracle" she smiles warmly
"Yo! Rachel!" Leo yells
"Hi, Leo!" she says
Suddenly her eyes glow green,
"A daughter of doves
A son of flames
Shall work to retrieve
Pandora's dreams
They may succeed
But they may fail
The half bloods cannot let evil prevail
They have two weeks
To destroy the plan
The sprit are now in the demigods hands" she chants as if overcome with some spirit
I stare at her in shock, " What was that?"
"A prophecy," Chiron explains," You have been chosen by the gods to go this quest"
"Well what do I have to do this time?" Leo asks bored, when I'm scared out of my mind
"The manticore has stolen Pandora's Pithos, and he plans to open it and release the spirit of hope." Rachel tells us," If that happens all hope will be lost. You need to find the manticore and get back that Pithos"
I nod fearfully
"One thing that is strange about this prophecy is that they're are only two half bloods in it" Chiron says thoughtfully," We have to have another half blood"
"Why?" I ask
"Because three is a lucky number" Chiron says
"Okay well who is it?" I ask
On cue, a girl with jet black hair,caramel skin, bright blue eyes walks in.
"This is Selena, daughter of Apollo"
"I thought children of Apollo are all blonde" Leo states
"Well not me" Selena grins
"Selena is very special, she has been blessed by Apollo with Photokinesis."
"That's amazing!" Leo gasps
"What's that?" I say nervously
"Well it's control over light, usually only gods can do it, but Dad made an exception for me." she smiles proudly," I can become invisible,create illusions, make light shields,and can make people blind."
I stare at her in shock
She grins again," and I also have normal Apollo abilities like I have vitakinesis, and I have a little precognition"
"Selena take part in your quest, Dani you will be the leader"
"What me?" I sputter
"Yes, you guys leave tomorrow morning" Chiron says

I trudge back to my cabin
"Hi, Piper" I say weakly
"What's wrong?" she asks concerned
"Well Leo and I have to go on a quest tomorrow," I sigh
She hugs me," Don't worry"
I smile softly," Okay I won't"
I pull my duffle bag from under my bunk, and Piper hands me a small black backpack
I put the baggy of ambrosia and canteen of nectar, that Chiron gave us, in my backpack
"Only pack things you need" Piper instructs
I nod, and put an extra pair of jeans and a tee shirt in there.
"Oh and don't wear your Camp Half Blood shirt" she warns
"Okay got it! Anything else I need?"
"Chiron will give you extra money you may need, including golden drachmas"
I smile slightly.
We walk to dinner quietly, " It'll be my last dinner here for two weeks"
"You better pile up" my brother, Sean, says
I smile, and sit down to eat.
After dinner, I go right to sleep.
I have a long day ahead of me.
