CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

"Jaani?!" baba called me but I don't wanted to talk about that anymore, that thing was out of my league. I started walking towards my room when I heard movements of baba getting up too from the couch.

"Saba jaani? Don't go away like this. Try it once, if it doesn't work, then I won't say anything related to this again. For now go accept her apology and be friends with her, okay?" baba explained again and I sighed in annoyance.

"Oye, mere samne aisi shaklen mat banao, samjhi larki!" baba said with slight amusement on his face and I internally smiled.

"Baba, please don't be stubborn, I've decided it already. What she did was no good. I thought she was my friend, the only friend." I replied with a pout on my face.

Baba was reluctant to ask me to forgive her and be friends with her again when she called him because I wasn't picking up her calls nor replying to her texts.

"Saba?" he said slightly and I turned around facing my bedroom door again, "Jaani?" this time he was much polite and I knew that he's upto butter me again with his talks.

"Babaaaa... No buttering shuttering, no emotional blackmailing, I said na... I don't want to, please don't force me."

"Jaani, humans make mistakes, if they are not forgiven for what they do, no one in this world should talk to each other, according to your logic." he said and I made a face.

"But baba..."

"No buts, you no what? No matter what happens. Agar aap se koi dosti karna chahe to uski dosti ko thukrana nahi chaiye." he said.

"Now go and call her right now, let her clear and explain everything to you. If not, main bhi naraaz ho jaon ga." he completed in a final firm tone.

"Baba don't say like this. I can stay and live without talking to anyone except you, you know that very well." I said and he just shrugged his shoulders and dragged his feet towards his room, purposely, waiting for my reply as he know that I have to give up this time.

"Ookay fine baba. Don't just literally drag your feet." I said and he smiled wide showing me his teeth and I couldn't help but smile too.

"Now you can go to sleep, and don't forget to talk to her. Aisi choti moti laraiyan to hoti rehti hain na." he said and I showed him a thumbs up.
