Part 1 - Cancer Begins With 'C' - So Does My Name

That day, the day I was told I have cancer — was it just a week ago? —It was a day with some fear and much joy, —my granddaughter's birthday, kisses and cake —and the meeting with the specialist who confirmed that a cancerous tumour is in my body and needs dealing with.

That evening, seeking some form of inner, spiritual comfort, I asked God to light this dark path I seemed to walk on. I began to write in my journal — so much hope, comfort and help poured from my pen onto the pages that could make many 'parts' here to share it all... it was so positive and will remain with me for the rest of my life. I feel excited to share it with a purpose to Comfort, enCourage, and inspire others.

Cancer begins with C and so does my name... Well, that's not a lot of help —I thought at first...

But so many words begin with C, words I need to focus upon, NOT on Cancer, not on Carolyn, but, yes, on Christ Jesus, the One I believe is my friend and who wants the best for me. How does a 'C' apply to my friendship with Jesus? How can I find help from looking at 'C' words related to him? These are my random, Creative thoughts... and these random thoughts are not just about me, or just for me, but available for all, for comfort, for hope, for uplifting and for peace. To be able to own hope and positivity, are great treasures.

Focussing on Positive 'C' words:

Before the world was Created, Christ, the Word, was there... John 1:1

He was Crucified on a Cross at Calvary to redeem mankind back to God. John 3:16

Through believing in Christ, the scriptures tell me that I am a Christian, Christ lives in me - I am a new Creation, old things have passed away and all things are new. Galatians 2:20

A Comforter - yes, Jesus is this and more. He is the Comforter of all Comforters, the Comforter for my mind, my soul and my spirit. John 14:16 John 15:26

God Chose me before the beginning of time —He knows all about me and Cares for me as no other Can or will... He Called me and has Captivated me with his love. Ephesians 1:4

No one ever Cared for me, like Christ Jesus! 1 Peter 5:7

Once I was a Castaway Child, now I am a Chosen Child of the Living God, the God of the Universe. Isaiah 43:1

I live for the greatest Cause in the universe; to Call out about the Most Awesome Man who ever was born, lived, died and rose again; Christ Jesus Son of God, Saviour of Mankind. Matthew 28:1-20

Jesus was born in a Cave-like Cattle stall. We sing Carols at Christmas. Luke 2:16

You, oh Lord God, NEVER Cease to Cheer me up! You, once was a Carpenter's son, Compensate me as none other can. Matthew 13:55

As Captain of my Craft, in the chaos that closes in at times; Christ Jesus, you Calm me in the storms of life. Luke 8:24

Your Coruscating light, Jesus, is stronger than any Candle and in you there is no darkness at all. John 8:12

Chains of sin Can be broken by Christ. 1 John 1:9

We need to be a Channel for the love of God to flow through. John 13:34

Our bodies are Chosen Chapels (Temples) of the Holy Spirit; therefore, we must keep them Cleansed by Confessing and Casting off all evil and wrong doing. 2 Corinthians 6:16
