Part 20 - Peace #2 Gospel of Peace - CarolynAnnAish

Song of Peace

Jesus gave us the 'Gospel of Peace' and what better way to describe His Gospel of peace than to share a song from the last century. Over 70 years ago, this was sung in children's camps, Sunday Schools and Junior Church programs, all around the world, and still by some today.

Just a short song, but so very true. This was used alongside "The Wordless Book" which had colour pages in it - I do not know the originator (the author or composer of this song even though I tried to find it online. The song is very old as I wrote.)

"My Heart was dark with sin,

Until the Saviour came in.

His Precious Blood I know,

Has Washed me White as Snow."

The rest of the song goes like this:

"And in God's Word, I'm told,

I'll walk the streets of gold.

Oh wonderful, wonderful day,

When Jesus washed my sins away."

Last time I used this song, was when we had to design something at our Easter Day program at church — using Jelly Beans and toothpicks to tell the Easter story — which is the Gospel.

Please comment if you know this song, or not — and if there is a number of readers who do not know it, I will sing it and put it on my YouTube channel. Such a great chorussy-song.

Romans chapter 5 verse 8 - But God shows His love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.
