A POEM -
Brokenness, Bridges and Beauty
A bridge is not a barrier - It is a carrier -
A bridge bears us across a dangerous gulch,
If the bridge becomes broken, it is in need of repair.
We dare not venture there, to cross - but there is a CROSS,
For when we become broken.
This brokenness is not a barrier,
But with the beauty of God, brokenness is our carrier -
Like the unbroken bridge,
The beauty of God bears us across the canyon;
The cross that bore His broken body,
Broken for us - to heal our brokenness -
His cross is, for us, the perfect bridge to carry one -
Such as I.
When I trusted my all to Him,
He lit the darkness of the pitch,
With luminescent brightness,
Unimaginable, unparalleled, inescapably marvellous,
My brokenness mended,
His light shining through.
God has much to do to us,
In us, with us, through us,
He makes beauty from ashes....
He, God, who had every reason to be ashamed of us,
Is NOT ashamed of us!
We must NEVER be ashamed of Him!
Scripture: "To those to mourn... To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."Isaiah 61:3 NKJV
