BELLA'S POV

I walked downstairs and passed Alissa. Ugh, I hate her now. I didn't do anything to her, and she acts like I did.

"Hey Bella," Charlie said when I got downstairs.

"Hi," I replied.

"Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Sure." I sat down on the couch where he was sitting.

"So Bella, what happened to you and Alissa today?" He looked at me, forcing me to answer the question

"So Bella, what happened to you and Alissa today?" He looked at me, forcing me to answer the question.

"It was yesterday," I said, changing the subject a little.

But he changed it right back. "Well, then what happened yesterday?" He leaned forward, waiting for my answer.

I sighed. I had to say it. "Yesterday morning, Alissa and I got into an argument. I thought she was trying to 'steal my man' away from me."

"And who is 'your man'?"

"Jacob."

He laughed. "Jacob is your man? You two are fighting over Jacob?" He laughed some more. "That's funny."

"How is that funny?" I asked, starting to get mad at Charlie for laughing at a fight I got into with my best friend/sister.

"I'm sorry, Bella. The fact that you're in a fight isn't funny, but the funny part is what you're arguing about."

"How is thinking that Jacob is mine funny?! How is stealing my man funny?! How is any of it FUNNY?!" I was really mad by then.

"Bell, it's not," he said, trying to calm me down. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that you felt this way about this."

"Oh yeah," I said sarcastically. "Fighting with my sister, otherwise known as a best friend? Doesn't bother me at all!" I dragged out the all so that he could tell I was being sarcastic. "It's all good! No need to worry about me!"

"Bella!" Charlie was starting to get frustrated too.

"Exactly! It's dumb to think that these kinds of things are funny, isn't it?" I proved my point, and that's all I wanted.

"I guess you did!" Charlie stood up. "But I tried to say I was sorry, and all you gave me was sarcasticness and attitude!" He walked away angrily.

I groaned, frustrated with myself. First, I'd lost my best friend. Now, I'd lost my dad. This was a fun life.
